At Seattle, USA, our President Mr Kumar Dilip, Senior Vice President & Head of Communications, Dr Sutirtha Sahariah,Technical Advisor Professor Devendra Saroj and Mr Gaurav Solanki participated in a high-level two-day global workshop “LMIC Commercial Perspective Learning Session & Workshop”, hosted by the Gates Foundation headquarters alongside selected representatives from China and South Africa & around the world.

The Sulabh delegation engaged with the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) leadership of the Gates Foundation, including Mr Doulaye Koné, Director, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; Mr Najib Bateganya, Deputy Director, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; and Ms Sakshi Gudwani, WASH Lead – India, Mr Vedala Srinivasa Chary Advisor and Mr Vivek Pandey Independent Consultant for the Gates Foundation.

The workshop focused on next-generation sanitation technologies, with particular emphasis on decentralized f***l sludge management, water recycling, and the importance of adapting innovative sanitation solutions to localized contexts in low- and middle-income countries.

अमेरिका के सिएटल शहर में सुलभ इंटरनेशनल के प्रतिनिधियों ने एक महत्वपूर्ण अंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला में भाग लिया। इस कार्यशाला में सुलभ के प्रेसिडेंट श्री कुमार दिलीप, सीनियर वाइस प्रेसिडेंट एवं संचार प्रमुख डॉ. सुतीर्थ सहारिया, तकनीकी सलाहकार प्रोफेसर देवेंद्र सरोज और श्री गौरव सोलंकी शामिल हुए। यह दो दिवसीय कार्यशाला “LMIC Commercial Perspective Learning Session & Workshop” Gates Foundation के मुख्यालय में आयोजित की गई, जिसमें चीन, दक्षिण अफ्रीका और अन्य देशों के प्रतिनिधि भी मौजूद थे।

इस दौरान सुलभ टीम ने WASH (जल, स्वच्छता और स्वच्छता व्यवहार) क्षेत्र के विशेषज्ञों से चर्चा की, जिनमें श्री डूले कोने, श्री नजीब बटेगन्या, सुश्री साक्षी गुडवानी, श्री वेदाला श्रीनिवास चारी और श्री विवेक पांडे शामिल थे।

इस कार्यशाला में नई स्वच्छता तकनीकों पर चर्चा हुई, खासकर फीकल स्लज मैनेजमेंट, पानी के पुनः उपयोग (रीसाइक्लिंग) और कम व मध्यम आय वाले देशों में स्थानीय जरूरतों के अनुसार स्वच्छता समाधान विकसित करने पर जोर दिया गया।

Mr. Jai Prakash Jha, Controller for Bihar State at Sulabh International Social Service Organisation, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Mr Samrat Choudhary, at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

During the interaction, Mr. Jha conveyed his congratulations to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on behalf of our President Mr. Kumar Dilip and the entire Sulabh family.

He also shared insights into Sulabh’s ongoing initiatives in Bihar, with a particular focus on promoting sanitation, improving access to safe drinking water, and strengthening public health outcomes across the state.

बिहार राज्य के नियंत्रक, सुलभ इंटरनेशनल सोशल सर्विस ऑर्गेनाइजेशन के श्री जय प्रकाश झा ने मुख्यमंत्री सचिवालय में बिहार के माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री सम्राट चौधरी से शिष्टाचार भेंट की।

इस दौरान, श्री झा ने हमारे अध्यक्ष श्री कुमार दिलीप एवं सुलभ परिवार की ओर से माननीय मुख्यमंत्री को बधाई दी और बिहार में सुलभ की चल रही पहलों के बारे में जानकारी साझा की।

आज पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय श्री चंद्रशेखर जी की 99वीं जयंती उनके समाधि स्थल 'जननायक स्थल' (विजय घाट के पास, नई दिल्ली) पर धूमधाम से मनाई गई। इस अवसर पर देश के कई गणमान्य लोगों ने पुष्पांजलि अर्पित कर उन्हें याद किया।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सुबह 8 बजे पुष्पांजलि के साथ हुई, उसके बाद भजनों का आयोजन किया गया।

सुलभ इंटरनेशनल के प्रेसिडेंट श्री कुमार दिलीप ने इस आयोजन में शिरकत की और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। उनके साथ सुलभ इंटरनेशनल की वाईस प्रेसिडेंट श्रीमती आभा कुमार भी उपस्थित रहीं ।

इस मौके पर भारत के उपराष्ट्रपति श्री सी.पी. राधाकृष्णन भी उपस्थित थे।

इस मौके पर चंद्रशेखर स्मृति ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष और सांसद श्री नीरज शेखर भी मौजूद रहे। उन्होंने सभी मेहमानों का धन्यवाद किया।

The 10-seater Sulabh Toilet Complex at Malim Jetty, Panaji, Goa—maintained by Sulabh under the Department of Fisheries—has been renovated by the Public Works Department through Sulabh International Social Service Organisation.

The facility was opened for public use on 15th April 2026, marking a step forward in strengthening public sanitation infrastructure.

Patna, April 14

Sulabh International observed the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar with reverence and dignity. On this occasion, floral tributes were offered and a pledge was taken to carry forward his ideals of social justice, equality, and empowerment.

Addressing the gathering, Sulabh’s Executive Convenor, Mrs. Nitya Pathak, described “Education, Organization, and Struggle” as the fundamental mantra for social transformation and urged everyone to adopt the ideals of Babasaheb. She also remembered the contributions of Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, stating that Sulabh continues to work consistently in the fields of sanitation, employment, and human dignity.

On this occasion, Dr. B. N. Jha, Mr. Jai Prakash Jha, Mr. Shishir Kumar Jha, and Mrs. Hemlata Shekhawat, among others, were present at the event. Sanitation workers, members of the Sulabh family, and all those who contributed to the success of the program were also specially acknowledged.

New Public Toilet Facility Operational at APMC Okhla Sabzi Mandi

We are pleased to share that the public toilet complex at APMC Okhla Sabzi Mandi is now operational and open for public use.

Constructed and to be maintained by Sulabh International, the facility is designed to ensure accessibility, hygiene, and inclusivity, and includes:

• 25 Gents’ W.C.s
• 1 Divyang (PWD-friendly) unit
• 1 Transgender-inclusive unit
• 6 Gents’ bathrooms
• 5 Urinals
• 2 Ladies’ W.C.s
• 1 Ladies’ bathroom

This initiative reinforces our commitment to improving sanitation infrastructure and public health in high-footfall market areas.
