Project Auric was initiated to address the health hazards posed by washing utensils with medieval methods. This is achieved by teaching the women of Manger village of Haryana how to manufacture dishwashing liquid, which is then sold in recycled PET bottles. Hence, our project not only works toward the financial independence of women but also protection of the environment. In Summer 2016, we conduc
ted the Student's Representative Programme, our first initiative to promote social entrepreneurship at the high school level. Project Kalakaashi, aims to revive the rich handicrafts of Varanasi. Thousands of craftsmen in and around the city are unable to sustain their income and are now abandoning their heritage to find more remunerative jobs. With persistent efforts and planning to attain permanent tie- ups and organize stalls, we have been able to increase their sales and have helped them build a market for themselves. It is our goal to help them move toward self sustainability and also provide socio-economic assistance to our target community.
