Legal Aid which means giving free legal services to the poor and needy who are unable to afford the services of an advocate for the conduct of a case or a legal proceeding in any court, tribunal or before an Judicial authority. The preamble of the Indian constitution basically aims to secure to the people of India justice socio economic and political. Bhagwati aptly stated that legal aid means pro
viding an arrangement in the society which makes the machinery of administration of Justice easily accessible and in reach of those who have to resort to it for enforcement of rights given to them by law. Article 38(1) stipulates that the State shall promote the welfare of the people by securing and protecting the social order including justice. Article 21 clearly says that every person has an equal right to life and liberty except according to the procedure established by the law. All India Women United Party with a view to extend legal assistance to the weaker sections of the society has approached the Chamber of Advocate Arpit Batra. Seeing such a beautiful and noble thought of the said political party the Chambers of Advocate Arpit Batra has accepted their request and has agreed to be part of this noble pursuit. For this the Chambers of Advocate Arpit Batra has come up with the following model. LEGAL AID
1.Legal Consultation/Advice 2. Legal Aid In Litigation/ Mediation
The Chambers of Advocate Arpit Batra would be extending their services in two parts.
1.Legal aid via consultation/advice: For this every day from 2 pm to 4 pm the chambers located at GH-14/13, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi 110087 would be providing their services without charging any fees form the clients. These are free-of-charge service and nothing monetary would be charged by the chambers.
2.Legal aid in Litigation/Mediation: The Chamber would provide assistance in cases of new as well as ongoing Litigation. Also the Chamber shall try to resolve petty disputes through the process of Mediation The chamber reserves the right to decide to decide the maintainability of the case and only after satisfaction the chamber would be initiating the process. CONSIDERATION:
Legal Advice/Consultation: The Chamber of Advocate Arpit Batra in return for their services would not be charging any fees. But to avail these services a person is required to do the community service and must assure that he/she would be extending a helping hand to the party whenever the party plugs in any societal drive/campaign. Litigation: The Chamber of Advocate Arpit Batra in return for their services in ligation be it fresh case or pending case would only charge a nominal amount which would only cover the basic expenses for drafts, stationery etc. In addition to this the person is required to do the community service and would be extending helping hand to the party whenever the party plugs in any societal drive/campaign.
