The BRICS-TCA Research Symposium 2026 brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and TVET experts from across BRICS member countries and invited partner nations to exchange best practices and strengthen collaboration on sustainable and digitally enabled skills development. Hosted by NSDC under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, the Symposium served as a platform to shape future-ready skilling through dialogue, innovation, and international cooperation. Delegates from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE participated in the plenary discussions, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing skills ecosystems through global collaboration.

During the Plenary Session on Flagship TVET and Skills Development Initiatives, India showcased its future-ready skilling ecosystem, highlighting reforms and scalable models that are transforming skills development at scale. The presentation demonstrated how India is integrating digital access, apprenticeships, entrepreneurship, lifelong learning, and global opportunities into a unified ecosystem while sharing practical models for collaboration across BRICS nations.

Continuing the insightful conversations at the BRICS-TCA Research Symposium and Joint Management Committee Meeting 2026, the second panel discussion of the day focused on “Digital Transformation and AI, VR and AR for TVET”, exploring how emerging technologies are reshaping the landscape of technical and vocational education and training.

The session brought together global experts and technology leaders to deliberate on the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Extended Reality, digital twins, and advanced digital learning solutions in creating more adaptive, immersive, and industry-responsive skilling ecosystems.

The discussion featured perspectives from representatives of UNESCO, Delhi Technological University, Skillveri MR & XR Simulations, BharatGen, HCL Technologies, and the National Skill Development Corporation, highlighting opportunities to enhance learning outcomes, expand access, and strengthen workforce readiness through technology-enabled TVET.

NSDC and SSC NASSCOM came together as one unified skilling ecosystem to host the Industry Roundtable on “The New Talent Equation: Emerging Roles and the Future Skills Ecosystem” at NASSCOM People Summit 2026, Bengaluru.

Bringing together leaders from industry, academia, and government, the roundtable explored how AI is transforming jobs, skills, and workforce strategies in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

Strengthening partnerships to empower the youth of Manipur.

Shri ArunKumar Pillai, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), along with the NSDC team, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri Yumnam Khemchand.

The discussions focused on strengthening the state's skill development ecosystem, enhancing youth employability, and advancing key NSDC initiatives, including International Mobility, Skill India International Centres (SIICs), Skill Loans, and PM SETU.

During his visit, he also interacted with stakeholders and learners at the NSDC International Academy, Manipur, reaffirming NSDC's commitment to equipping the youth of Manipur with future-ready skills and expanding opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
