United Religions Initiative (URI) promotes enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings. This is a regional page for URI North zone of India and Afghanistan that seek to reflect the never tiring and ever lasting work and efforts of all members of the society who strongly uphold the spirit of peace and interfaith harmony in action and words. Beautiful welcome and start of our URI women youth camp. We started at the local sacred shrine of tejaa ji to connect with the spirit of courage and love on this land and made our way to the cultural immersion with each other and the tribal community of Kothri vilage, Kishangarh. We embraced ourselves in the Red chunri as a symbol of respect and honor. Thanks to our host Manthan for facilitating the kickstart of our program.

URI women youth camp for north/west women was an opportunity to bring young women leaders from 8 states together to learn and inspire each other. Most of them were travelling for the first time outside their village, city, state or meeting another woman from a different state for the first time. Some made their first solo travel, or the very first travel by train and on escalators too. And yes, even before the sessions formally began they had embodied the art of holding each other. Let's cheer for their courage and enthusiasm. Love!

At URI, we create and promote cultures of peace, and healing for Earth. Sharing snippets of women youth camp held this year in Kishangarh, Rajasthan. 20 Young women from 8 states of north/west India were our enthusiastic participants.

We planted 100+ local fruit trees and indigenous species at the campus of our host organisation, Manthan NGO. Thanks to Manthan for the trust and cooperation in the process.

We planted trees, and seeded hope, joy, dreams, friendships, connections, and belongingness.
