Education gives you your bread and butter, but your passion makes you a Celebrity. 🌟

At GAC Reminiscence, we believe that art and culture aren't "extra" - they are essential.
Whether it’s breaking through stereotypical family expectations, overcoming financial hurdles, or finding the right mentorship, we are here to ensure that no talent goes unheard or unseen.

Why should the stage be reserved for a few? Co-curricular excellence should be a right, not a luxury. 🎭✨

We are breaking the barriers of:

🚫 Financial constraints
🚫 Academic-only mindsets
🚫 Lack of professional guidance
🚫 Social stereotypes

The GAC Foundation champions the well-being of arts education, it nurtures creativity, cultural learning, and empowerment by making the arts accessible, inclusive, and affordable for children, youth, and communities across India.

Through dedicated community arts educators and facilitators, we bring music, dance, theatre, and visual arts closer to every learner. Together, we strive to inspire, transform, and build communities that thrive on creativity and culture.

We believe that true empowerment stems from holistic growth - nurturing individuals not just in their artistic skills but also in their confidence, values, and well-being. Our mission is to ensure that every child and youth who joins us discovers this balance, growing into creative, resilient, and compassionate individuals. At GAC Reminiscence, our mission is to ensure every child embraces this philosophy, becoming a well-rounded, confident individual.

Our inspiring GAC's, currently interning at various colleges, are testimony of this commitment. Despite their demanding professional schedules, they remain deeply committed to the arts by attending classes, refining their talents, and showcasing their creativity at community programs and cultural events. Even their recent tiny tots participation through our foundation for Iskcon Samskriti fancy dress competition during Janmashtami was a vibrant testament to their passion, discipline, and the profound impact of this balanced approach.

This dedication isn’t just about skill-building; arts education is not only about training in music, dance, theatre, or painting - it is about fostering joy, emotional strength, and cultural identity. When children are encouraged to pursue their passions while also building life skills, they step into their full potential, ready to shine in every aspect of life. That is the transformative power of holistic arts education in action!

Tiny Radhas. Tiny Krishnas. Infinite joy. 🌸💫
💖 On Janmashtami, we remembered Krishna’s message of love, equality, and compassion. At GAC Foundation, we celebrate that spirit by giving every child an equal stage to shine. 💫

Like the previous year, some of our tiny tots participated from various parts of the country, we had kids from Mumbai, Bangalore, Tirunelveli to Delhi and so on...

This Janmashtami, our family just got bigger. The foundation is mass expanding — and so are the smiles! Hoping for more good work, grassroots cultural outreach, giving underprivileged children opportunities, giving them a stage, a voice, and equal opportunities to shine. The new members of our growing family began their journey this year with joyous Radha–Krishna presentations during ISKCON’s Janmashtami celebrations for fancy dress competition.
Join us in showering blessings & encouragement on these little ones. Every cheer, every vote, every gesture fuels their dreams. 🌼✨

We truly believe that real growth comes from holistic development – cultivating a life that flourishes both inside and outside professional boundaries. At GAC Reminiscence, our mission is to ensure every girl embraces this philosophy, becoming a well-rounded, confident individual.

Ghungroo (Salangai)

In Indian classical dance, Ghungroo, a tiny metallic bells strung together and tied around the ankles are worn to enhance both rhythm and visual appeal. As the dancer moves, these bells create a melodious jingling sound that highlights precise footwork and syncs seamlessly with the rhythmic cycle. It holds a revered place not only in Bharatanatyam, but also in esteemed classical dance forms like Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, and Manipuri, each enriching tradition with rhythm and devotion. Ghungroo are not just decorative; they are an integral part of the dance, acting as musical instruments that emphasize the rhythm and tempo of the dancer's footwork. This sound not only brings energy and musicality to the performance but also deepens the connection between movement and music. Visually, the ghungroo draw attention to the dancer’s intricate leg movements, adding grace and elegance to the overall presentation. More than just an accessory, the ghungroo are deeply rooted in tradition, forming a powerful link between the performer, the music, and the audience. A true emblem of tradition in motion.

In South India, dancers celebrate this as 'Salangai Pooja'. One of the most meaningful milestones in a dancer’s journey is the Salangai Pooja, a sacred ceremony where the student is formally initiated into public performance. It marks the moment when the dancer earns the honour of wearing the ghungroo, symbolizing readiness, discipline, and a deeper commitment to the art.
Ghungroo are thus not just accessories, but sacred companions in the journey of dance.
