New York City-based producer-DJ Saqib teams up with Multan-born singer Umer Piracha to reinterpret 'Dama Dam Mast Qalandar' on a new Indo Warehouse EP, pairing rolling percussion and morchang interludes with a minimal vocal-led arrangement that is refreshingly free of typical fusion tropes.

It comes accompanied by a dub mix and 'Junoon', a track in collaboration with Mumbai-based Naayaab .

7 years ago, we hosted our latest 'Women In Electronic Music' sessions – a series of production workshops designed to make music-making more accessible to women and underrepresented voices in India, first as 'Skills Development For Women' and then under the banner of British Council India's 'Selector Pro'.

Supported by the likes of Ableton and Native Instruments, these sessions introduced a new generation of artists to music production with DAWs, DJing, nightlife laws and more. Many of them are now shaping the sound of contemporary Indian music.

7 years later, as Ableton Live introduces special rent-to-own prices for India alongside new updates, we are revisiting those moments, and exploring how access to tools, education, and community can ripple forward.

Chicago-based producer Lapgan and San Francisco duo Baalti have teamed up for a new album titled 'Threads', rolling it out with the single ‘Lime Tikka’.

Built during a focused writing period last year and later tested at shows including Glastonbury and Paris Fashion Week, the track layers club-oriented percussion and bass with melodies led by the South Indian nadhaswaram.

The accompanying music video, directed by Indian hip-hop collective EXCISE DEPT, doesn't just work as a supporting aspect to the release but a short film in itself, drawing on memories of a 1979 falling space station scare in Telangana to frame a coming-of-age story about ambition and imagination.
