The Tags We Carry Shape the Children We Teach

Every teacher walks into a classroom carrying more than lesson plans.

They carry experiences. Beliefs. Assumptions. And sometimes, invisible tags.

”She’s too talkative.”
”He’s a troublemaker.”
“This child never listens.”

The problem?

Children often begin to believe the tags they are repeatedly given.

At Parwarish Cares Foundation, we facilitate a powerful reflective teacher workshop where teachers become aware of the tags they carry, explore how these tags influence their interactions with children, and consciously choose to see every child beyond tags and assumptions.

Inclusion is felt, not just spoken about.

Our third workshop with the The Blind Relief Association, Delhi was another reminder of this.

We had the privilege of facilitating a session with a group of teachers, three of whom were visually impaired. As we wrapped up, one participant shared:

“You made it easier for us. I felt included.”

At Parwarish, we believe that meaningful facilitation goes beyond delivering content. It is about creating learning spaces where every participant, regardless of their abilities, feels seen, heard, and empowered.

Some feedback stays with you long after the session ends. This was one of those moments.
