KRITI Film Club - offers thought-provoking cinema in a discussion group format to deepen understandings on social, development, environment and human rights issues among viewers and film makers. It is an attempt to create an informal and educational space where students, activists, academicians, development professionals, media professionals and friends can come together and interact, through meaningful cinema. Enhancing access to such films beyond single shows and festivals is a core objective of the film club. Screening documentaries and relevant mainstream films regularly, once or twice a month since 2000...

Public Education events - that mark and celebrate socially relevant days through a awareness and mobilization programming and activities. We curate and organize issue based festivals and events, that are based on performing or visual arts, and documentary films. Workshops, organisational interactions and sharing resources to engage creatively around a diverse range of rights based issues and mark their significance in a collective spirit, is part of this mission.

🌱🎬 EcoReels 2026 would not have been possible without the incredible community that stood behind it.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone from Kriti Film Club, who supported the festival through our fundraising marathon. Your contributions and belief in the importance of environmental storytelling helped make this edition a reality.

We are also deeply grateful to Alliance Française de Delhi for opening their doors to the 18th EcoReels Film Festival. For providing a welcoming space where filmmakers, audiences, students, practitioners, and communities could come together to watch films, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations.

While these contributions have helped us immensely, we are still short of resources to cover festival costs and bring these films and conversations to more communities. If you can, please consider contributing and helping us keep this work going.

To everyone who joined us at the 18th EcoReels Film Festival — Thank you 🌱

Over two days, audiences from across Delhi and beyond filled our screening halls with curiosity and thoughtful engagement. Thank you for watching films with openness, staying back for conversations, asking important questions, and sharing your own experiences and perspectives.

A special thank you to the many community audiences who joined us from different organisations, collectives, educational institutions, and grassroot groups. Your participation enriched the festival and reminded us that environmental conversations are strongest when they bring together diverse voices, and experiences.

EcoReels spirit was made possible by every audience member who showed up, listened, questioned, and engaged.

Thank you for spending these two days with us and for being part of the conversations that continue long after the screenings end.

As a festival that is entirely volunteer-run, EcoReels would not be possible without the generosity and care of so many people who come together each year to make it happen!

EcoReels remains deeply shaped by our Festival Director, Aanchal Kapur’s vision, creating spaces where cinema, social justice, and environmental engagement can come together. Her commitment continues to guide the festival & help carry it forward.

Special appreciation goes to Ayushi Alva who helped programme this festival and organised this edition with core team members Shivani Monga, leading on the ground; Kritika Mattoo who played an integral role in organising and facilitating with Gayatri Srivastava, Lata Shankar Chandra, and Lucky Neog. A special thank you also to Pragya Shorey for creating the festival’s poster and visual designs, which helped shape the identity of this year’s edition.

To our core volunteers, Shiwani Nailwal and Shivani Kumar, thank you for your dedication and energy, throughout the festival.
Thank you to our volunteers for your contributions and Manzil media lab team for documenting the festival.

A heartfelt thank you to the wider Kriti team, Lata and Umesh, for their continued guidance.
A special thank you to Nidhi Gupta for being a constant source of support behind the scenes.

Festivals are built by communities, and EcoReels is fortunate to have such a generous one around it.

🎬🌱 To all the filmmakers who shared their films with us…

Thank you for trusting EcoReels with your films, for bringing urgent and inspiring stories to our screens, and for helping us create a space where environmental issues could be explored through the power of cinema.

It was a pleasure to welcome many of you to the festival, to hear about your journeys, engage in conversations around your work, and witness audiences connect so deeply with the stories you brought to life.

Every film added something unique to this edition of EcoReels and reminded us why storytelling remains such an important tool for understanding the world around us. We hope you continue making and stories that matter. We look forward to crossing paths again in the future!

— With gratitude, from all of us at EcoReels✨

🌱 Some of the best moments from EcoReels 2026 happened between the screenings.

A question from the audience that sparked a new conversation. A filmmaker sharing the story behind a scene. Someone making a connection between a film and their own lived experience. A discussion continuing in the corridors long after the credits rolled.

Thank you to everyone who spent time with us, watched films, asked questions, exchanged ideas, and helped make the festival more than just a series of screenings.

Here’s a glimpse of the people, conversations, and moments that made the 18th EcoReels Film Festival what it was ✨

🌱🎬 And that’s a wrap on the 18th EcoReels Film Festival.

Over the past two days, we shared 36 films, countless conversations, and a space where filmmakers, community audiences, students, practitioners, activists, and film lovers came together to engage with some of the most pressing environmental questions of our time.

Day 2 was a fitting close to this edition; filled with powerful films, and the collective energy that reminds us why these stories matter. As the screenings end, we hope the conversations continue beyond the festival halls and into our communities, workplaces, homes, and everyday lives.

Until next time✨
