🌸 Project U.D.A.A.N. | Uplifting Dignity and Awareness for All Women Nationwide🌸

We Are Human Foundation successfully conducted Project UDAAN today in Nalbari, Assam, where over 100 women from rural areas came together to learn, engage, and empower themselves. The event was honored by the presence of the local village head, society president, and esteemed teachers of the local school, who extended their support for this crucial initiative.

🩷 Spreading Awareness, Ensuring Well-being:
The session focused on the importance of menstrual hygiene, breaking long-standing taboos, and fostering a culture of health, dignity, and self-care. Awareness was spread among the participants, encouraging them to take charge of their health and well-being. Big kits containing sanitary napkins were distributed to all attendees, ensuring access to essential hygiene products.

The women participated with enthusiasm and expressed their willingness to contribute to nation-building by empowering themselves and others. Many shared valuable ideas and proposals on how they can further uplift their communities, and we have assured them that these suggestions will be carefully reviewed and developed into actionable initiatives with necessary support and resources.

Livelihood Support Initiative | A Step Towards Inclusion & Empowerment

We Are Human Foundation proudly organized the Livelihood Support Equipment Distribution Program on 29th January 2025 at Khongra High School, Barpeta, Assam. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Hon'ble Member of the Legislative Assembly and other dignitaries, reaffirming our collective commitment to uplifting the differently-abled community.

We Are Human Foundation has empowered Differently-Abled Individuals in Assam Through Livelihood Support Initiative

Barpeta, Assam | 29th January 2025

We Are Human Foundation organized a Livelihood Support program at Khongra High School, Barpeta, on 29-01-2025 aimed at empowering differently-abled individuals by providing essential mobility and assistive devices. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Ashraful Hussain, Hon’ble MLA of Chenga Constituency and other esteemed dignitaries. The Founding President of ‘We Are Human Foundation’ personally attended the function to reinforce the foundation’s commitment to the people of Assam.

As part of the initiative, tricycles, wheelchairs, pairs of crutches, and hearing aids were distributed to beneficiaries, enabling them to lead more independent and dignified lives. This program aligns with the foundation’s broader mission of promoting inclusivity and providing opportunities for marginalized communities across India, ensuring that no individual is left behind in the nation’s development journey.

Speaking at the event, Shri Vineet Kumar Founding President of the Foundation highlighted the foundation’s deep connection with Assam, stating, “Empowerment is not just about providing resources—it is about restoring dignity, building confidence, and ensuring that every individual, regardless of their physical challenges, has the right to live a life of independence. The people of Assam are very close to our hearts, and we are committed to bringing more impactful initiatives to the state.”

We Are Human Foundation, established in 2011, has been actively working for the welfare of women, children, and differently-abled individuals, running various programs right from Kashmir to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. In Assam, the foundation previously implemented a Skilling Initiative for Differently-Abled Persons (2020-21) and continues its efforts to enhance their economic and social well-being.

Further strengthening its commitment to the region, the foundation is set to organize a Women’s Hygiene Awareness Program tomorrow (on 30-01-2025) in Nalbari, where women of the vulnerable sections of the society shall be sensitized about the importance of hygiene and packets of sanitary napkins will be distributed to hundreds of beneficiaries. This initiative aims to break taboos surrounding menstrual health and empower women with knowledge about personal hygiene.

The event on 29-01-2025 saw overwhelming participation from beneficiaries, local authorities, and the community, reinforcing the spirit of collective social responsibility. The foundation expresses gratitude to all stakeholders, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to making this initiative a success.

In a remarkable testament to the enduring values of Mahatma Gandhi, We Are Human Foundation (WAHF) sponsored a groundbreaking initiative titled WASH (Women And Sanitary Hygiene) implemented by Jammu & Kashmir Students Welfare Mission (JKSWM), in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora.

Under the visionary leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS, and the coordination of District Programme Officer, POSHAN, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, JKAS, and the dedicated supervision of District Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Hidayatullah Mir JKAS, the WASH program is making significant strides in enhancing women's health and hygiene.

The initiative, bolstered by the support of the We Are Human Foundation (WAHF) based in New Delhi, has conducted impactful Sanitary Kit Distribution cm Hygiene Awareness Camps at key locations such as New District Hospital Bandipora, Gynecology Department, DH Bandipora, and Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora. Additionally, it has reached out to various women self-help groups, ICDS centers, and remote areas of the District, ensuring a wide-reaching impact.

The collaboration between We Are Human Foundation (WAHF), JKSWM, District Administration Bandipora, Department of Social Welfare Bandipora, ICDS Bandipora, SAKHI One Stop Centre Bandipora, and the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Bandipora, has been instrumental in the program's resounding success. The dedicated efforts of SAKHI - One Stop Centre, Bandipora, under the umbrella of J K Students Welfare Mission, have played a pivotal role in the program's effective implementation.

The initiative, deeply rooted in Gandhi Ji's principles of non-violence, equality, and respect for all, has struck a chord with the residents who appreciate the program's focus on women's health and hygiene. The program's success reaffirms the importance of collaborative initiatives in fostering positive change and empowering women in society.
