About Lakshyam:
Established in 2004, Lakshyam is a social enterprise that uplifts children and women of at-risk communities through education & employment. Currently functional in 11 states of India with 13 centers, Lakshyam’s 'Butterfly: Child Welfare & Education' program offers holistic education to children, 'Lakshyam Toy Library' is a need-based approach and 'Rooh: Awakening Women’s Soul' is

designed to empower women via awareness, initiation and action. Lakshyam Programs:
'Lakshyam Toy Library' is one of the main programs of Lakshyam that distributes toys and books from the privileged children to the not-so-privileged ones. Toy Boxes are set up in several private schools in Delhi and each child donates a toy and/or book that is then delivered to the 13 tie-up Centers/NGOs across 11 states. Lakshyam Toy Library Centers have been opened in the rural districts of states like Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

'Butterfly: Child Welfare and Education' program has been designed, keeping in view the two integral building blocks of a healthy child, Development & Participation. The Remedial Education Center based at the Basti (slum) adopted by Lakshyam, JJ Basti in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi provides an education encompassing textual knowledge and personality development, along with special attention to workshops on cleanliness, hygiene, discipline, extra curricular activities and positive life habits that are carried out to help the children join the mainstream society with a broader and deeper capability.

'Rooh: Awakening Women's Soul' is a program that focuses on creating an environment conducive for women from the not-so-privileged communities. Imparting skill building training and teaching the art of sewing, cutting, stitching and embroidery to women, thus creating opportunities for income enhancement. Focus on issues affecting the lives of women, like health & hygiene education, child care and basic civic sense are provide to community women to support them in leading a life with dignity and confidence.

At Lakshyam, holistic development means nurturing not just the mind — but the body and spirit too.

We recently collaborated with the wonderful team from Manzil Mystic, who brought a refreshing wave of movement, rhythm, and mindful engagement to our centers. Through guided sessions rooted in conscious movement and expressive exploration, our students experienced something truly different — learning through motion, feeling through rhythm, and discovering joy in presence.

These sessions weren’t just activities. They were moments of release, confidence-building, and connection. Movement became expression. Laughter became therapy. Energy became empowerment.

For many of our children, structured physical expression is a rare opportunity. Programs like these help improve coordination, emotional balance, body awareness, and self-confidence — all essential for overall growth.

Holistic development happens when children are encouraged to explore their full potential — physically, emotionally, and creatively.

We are grateful to the Manzil Mystic team for bringing this beautiful experience to our students and reminding us that sometimes, growth begins with simply moving freely. 💫

After completing the beautiful Nature’s Trail and exploring the serenity of the Deer Park, our students experienced a moment they will cherish, receiving their very own Nature Journals.

In those pages, they didn’t just write observations. They captured feelings, discoveries, and reflections. Leaves they noticed. Birds they heard. Questions they asked. Every entry became a reminder that learning does not only happen inside classrooms, sometimes it grows under open skies.

The journey continued with a special visit to the WWF office, where the children participated in an engaging wildlife workshop. Through interactive discussions and expert guidance, they explored the fascinating world of conservation, ecosystems, and animal protection.

It was more than a field visit. It was curiosity sparked. Awareness awakened. Inspiration planted.

The children returned with brighter eyes, thoughtful reflections, and a deeper connection to the natural world around them.

Because when young minds are encouraged to observe, reflect, and care, they don’t just learn about nature. They become its protectors. 🌍
