We’ve seen how sport can become so much more than a game for them. A space to breathe, to feel like themselves, to find confidence, and to keep moving through everything life throws their way.

Sometimes, confidence begins with someone else seeing something in you first.

In Sunita and Kabita’s journeys, that belief came through mentors who listened, encouraged them to take on responsibility, speak up, and slowly trust their own voice a little more.

We see this across so many of our girls. Behind every opportunity is often a teacher, mentor, guide or coach who keeps showing up, especially through our partner organisations, where this support continues long after a session or programme ends.

To all of them: thank you for walking alongside our girls, for believing in them, and for helping create spaces where they can grow into themselves. 💜

What does growth beyond sport actually look like?

Sometimes, it looks like learning how to understand an injury better. Sometimes, it is finding the confidence to say “no”, recognising when something does not feel safe, naming an emotion, asking for help, or simply learning to speak up for yourself.

Through the KickOff Solutions Fellowship, our Fellows are having conversations around health and nutrition, safeguarding, mental health, self-expression, gender, consent, recovery and self-awareness.

Because the Fellowship is not only about helping young women grow as athletes. It is about helping them feel more prepared for everything that comes beyond the field too. 🩷🌱

Leadership does not begin when someone gives you a title.

It begins the moment you choose to speak up, support someone else, ask difficult questions, and believe that your voice matters.

Across 9 states, 28 young women come together through IGNITE with different stories, different challenges and one shared purpose: to grow into leaders who create change in their communities through sport.

Over the next two years, they will learn, question, fail, rise, and lead together through KickOff Solutions’ 2-Year Fellowship Program 💜
