Our society registration date is April 19, 2010. We have been working since August 2009 in Delhi schools. Our primary area of work – promoting Internet Safety in India, a hitherto neglected subject amongst children despite massive penetration and usage of computers in the country. Why JaagoTeens ventured into Internet Safety?
~Relationships, dilemmas, sensitivities, disappointments, etc. are discu

ssed or shared online in minute detail with no thought or inhibition whatsoever of consequences.
~Instances of misuse are rampant and principals and teachers tell us of these.
~Cyber crime instances are increasing; need for careful use.
~Law lacks teeth, hence onus on user being aware and responsible. Therefore, urgent need for imparting awareness of Safe and Responsible Use of Internet

Objectives of Jaago Teens:
~To create awareness that while using the internet one needs to think before we click, post and act since online actions spread fast and far and can intensely affect people 24x7.
~To understand the risks and consequences of being both, perpetrator as well as victim of cyber crime.
~To provide knowledge of potential online threats so that one can identify risks and steer clear of them. This builds critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
~To engage them in advocacy: teaching safe, responsible cyber use.
~To observe Netiquette

With a surge in the number of Omicron cases, will come a surge in the number of fake WhatApp messages.
Don't believe them, don't forward them, simply delete them.

Check with your doctor about symptoms, cure etc.
Please get vaccinated, if you haven't done that as yet.

ठगी से बचें

त्योहारों का सीजन आ गया है इसमें खरीदारी के साथ-साथ धोखाधड़ी और ठगी भी बढ़ जाती है। इसी तरह ऑनलाइन शॉपिंग में भी इस तरह के अपराध बढ़ जाते हैं । मेरे साथ एक बार ऐसा ही हुआ। मुझे एक ब्रांडेड वॉकिंग शू लेना था । मैं जिस साइट पर अक्सर चीजें खरीदती हूं उस पर जाने के साथ-साथ दूसरी साइट पर भी जाकर देखने लगी ।बहुत अच्छे ब्रांडेड शू अपरिचित साइट पर अच्छे डिस्काउंट पर मिल रहे थे । जिस साइट पर ज्यादा डिस्काउंट मिल रहा था वहां मैंने जूता ऑर्डर कर दिया ।मुझे उस साइट की कोई जानकारी नहीं थी फिर भी लालच में फंसे गई हालांकि मैं ऑनलाइन पर काफी सावधान रहती हूं। मैंने वहीं पर ऑर्डर दे दिया और बैंक से पेमेंट कर दिया ।
बैंक से पेमेंट तो साथ ही निकल गया पर जूता आज तक नहीं आया।
इस तरह के पर्सनल ट्रांजेक्शन पर बैंक जिम्मेदार नहीं है। इसलिए मेरी आपको सलाह है कि ऑनलाइन शॉपिंग करने से पहले साइट की अच्छी तरह से जांच पड़ताल कर ले
या आप अक्सर जिस साइट पर शॉपिंग करते हैं वहीं से शॉपिंग करें।
धोखाधड़ी करने वाले मनोविज्ञान को अच्छी तरह से समझते हैं।

Children may realize that they are spending too much time on online games but might not know how to limit the time they spend on these activities.
As a parent, you are the only one who can help your child, have a conversation with your child, and decide how much time is okay for him/her to play online games. Then help them stick to the schedule!
