With over 40 members, our team currently operates two projects and one in process.
Project Patradya is an initiative undertaken for the socio-economic empowerment of Afghan refugee women based in the Bhogul District of Delhi, through the development of a social business module centered around bio-edible utensils. Not only does our business model provide an alternative means of livelihood to the Afhan refugees, but it also simultaneously challenges the monopoly of plastic by capitalizing on the disposable utensil market.
Our second initiative, Project Dor deals with the manufacturing of scarves using the traditional art of tie and dye while working for the socio-economic upliftment of the women of Sapera Basti, Najafgarh, Delhi. Their lack of education, inability to find respectable work and the paucity of money had made them vulnerable to human trafficking.
