AIMA conducted a Capacity Building Programme on Contractual Disputes, Arbitration and Conciliation in two batches from 9th–11th March and 16th–18th March 2026 at the GAIL Training Institute. The programme focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of contract management, dispute prevention, and resolution in public procurement and infrastructure projects.

The sessions covered contract structures, drafting, key terms and conditions, performance management, handling breaches, and managing variations. The participants also examined financial security, risk mitigation, insurance aspects, and compliance requirements.

Comprehensive coverage of conflict avoidance and dispute resolution was provided through negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and adjudication, supported by case studies and practical exercises.

The programme concluded with participants gaining practical insights and tools to manage contracts effectively, minimise disputes, and improve project outcomes, with over 35 participants attending each batch.

This annual initiative encourages the development of India focused business case studies and provides a platform for faculty and case authors from universities and business schools worldwide to contribute to management education and research.

Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of 25+ academic experts, and winning cases will receive mentoring support and publication on the ICRC portal.

AIMA–India Case Research Centre (AIMA–ICRC) organised the first-of-its-kind Two-Day International Case Writing Workshop on ‘Mastering Teaching Case Writing & Publication Pathways’ on 17thth–18 April 2026 in New Delhi, in collaboration with IILM University, Gurugram and with the academic association of North American Case Research Association (NACRA). The workshop marked a key step in strengthening case-based management education in India, with a focus on faculty capability building and experiential, discussion-led learning.

The inaugural session featured Prof(Dr)Rohit Singh, Director, AIMA-CME; Prof Rishikesha Krishnan, Chairperson, AIMA-ICRC and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore; Dr Ravi Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor Designate, IILM University, Gurugram; and Prof Upinder Dhar, Co-Chair, AIMA-ICRC, who highlighted the importance of academia–industry integration and practice-oriented pedagogy.

Day 1 included a session by Dr Mike Annett, PhD CPHR, President, North American Case Research Association (NACRA) and MacEwan University, Canada, on global case writing and publication pathways, followed by technical sessions by Dr Prof. Jyotsna Bhatnagar on identifying publishable case ideas and Prof. (Dr.) Neetu Yadav on background research and data collection. A panel discussion with Dr Ajoy Kumar Dey; Dr Rohit Singh; Dr Dr. Shruti Gill; and Dr Prof. Jay K Mitra focused on empowering faculty through case teaching.

Day 2 centred on practical application, with sessions on case design, dilemmas, and classroom ex*****on led by Dr Anuja Pandey, along with a case teaching demonstration by Prof Vijayalakshmi Iyengar, Dean, SRM University, AP and AIMA-ICRC Mentor.

The workshop reinforced AIMA–ICRC’s commitment to advancing India-centric business knowledge and building a strong ecosystem for case development and dissemination. Preparations are underway for the 6th Case Writing Competition & Conference, scheduled for 14th –15th May 2026 in New Delhi.

AIMA’s 19th Student Management Quiz (SMQ) successfully concluded with its 2025–26 edition, marking five months of intense, nationwide competition. The interactive programme tested students’ understanding of key business domains including brands, marketing, HRM, finance, and current business affairs.

This edition witnessed strong participation with 750+ teams from over 100 colleges across India. Six regional rounds were held at leading institutions including Inderprastha Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut, Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, Pillai’s Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai, O P Jindal Global University and Tula’s Institute, Dehradun.

The semi-finals at Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, saw 36 teams competing for a place in the finale, with six teams advancing to the national round.

The grand finale was held on 10th April 2026 at Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, with Prof (Dr) Tapan Nayak, Director, Jaipuria School of Business, as Chief Guest. KL International School, Meerut emerged as the National Winner, while Sun Valley International School, Ghaziabad secured the first runner up position and IMS Ghaziabad the second runner up position.

AIMA participated in the 1st Council Meeting of the Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO) for 2026, held in Malaysia on 12 April 2026. Macau currently holds the Presidency of AAMO for the 2025–2028 term. Representing AIMA at the meeting were Mr Rajive Kaul, Past President, AAMO and Chairman, Nicco Engineering Services Limited and Promoter-Director, Nicco Parks & Resorts Limited, and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA.

During the meeting, representatives from AAMO member regions including Hong Kong, India, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan (via Zoom) shared their perspectives on attracting more regional management organisations to join AAMO. The discussions focused on expanding the association’s reach and strengthening collaboration across member bodies in the Asia Pacific region.

AAMO is a partnership of National Management Organisations (NMOs) in the Asia Pacific region, aimed at sharing and leveraging resources to enhance the achievement of their respective missions. The association currently comprises eight members: Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
