We are pleased to announce the new leadership team of the All India Management Association (AIMA) for 2026–27.

Mr Vishal Kampani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JM Financial Ltd, has taken over as President of AIMA, succeeding Mr T V Narendran, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Steel Limited.

With nearly three decades of leadership experience across investment banking and financial services, Mr Kampani brings deep business expertise and strategic insight to guide AIMA in advancing management excellence in India. He has played a key role in expanding businesses across corporate advisory, capital markets, private markets and wealth management. Closely associated with AIMA for several years, he has previously served as both Vice President and Senior Vice President of the Association.

Mr Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director, Transport Corporation of India Limited, who served as Vice President of AIMA last year, now assumes the role of Senior Vice President, AIMA.. His extensive leadership experience and longstanding association with AIMA, including as the Founding National Chairman of its Young Leaders Council (YLC), will further strengthen AIMA’s engagement with industry and emerging leaders.

Dr Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, joins AIMA’s leadership team as Vice President. An accomplished leader with experience across the automotive and manufacturing sectors, her commitment to innovation, capability and sustainable growth will add a valuable dimension to AIMA’s programmes and initiatives.

Mr P. Dwarakanath, Former Chairman, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, continues in his role as Treasurer, AIMA, further strengthening the Association with his vast experience and longstanding commitment.

Ms Rekha Sethi continues to serve as Director General, AIMA, providing strategic direction and leadership in driving AIMA’s initiatives and vision.

Day 2 of AIMA’s 53rd National Management Convention continued with insightful conversations and fresh perspectives.

Mr Sanjiv Mehta, Executive Chairman, L Catterton India; Mr Sudhir Jalan, Chairman, Neo Foods Pvt Ltd; Mr Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO, KPMG in India; and Mr Gaurav Chiplunkar, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, UVA Darden School of Business and Dr Nalin Mehta, Managing Editor, Moneycontrol; Chief AI Officer – Editorial Operations, Network18; and Non-Resident Senior Fellow, ISAS, National University of Singapore, came together for a session that pointed out that stronger domestic capabilities, resilient supply chains and competitiveness will drive India’s growth.

The conversation then turned to India’s rich artistic heritage and its future. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Sarod Maestro and Composer; Mr Amaan Ali Bangash, Sarod Player and Composer and Mr Ayaan Ali Bangash, Sarod Player and Composer spoke to Shekhar Gupta, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, The Print about keeping India’s classical arts relevant by balancing tradition with creativity and change.

The Convention also explored India’s space ambitions. The Convention’s final session was addressed by Hon'ble Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs, GOI. She highlighted India’s 8% GDP growth, infrastructure progress and investment-led growth, while calling for stronger corporate leadership, greater trust, higher R&D spending and a focus on quality. She urged businesses to build better companies and extend leadership beyond urban India.

AIMA conferred the Best LMA Awards 2025–26 at the inaugural session of its 53rd National Management Convention on 21 September 2026 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. The awards recognise the contribution of Local Management Associations (LMAs) towards institutional excellence.

The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Mr Amitabh Kant, Former G20 Sherpa (India), Former CEO, NITI Aayog and Senior Adviser – Fairfax, SMBC & Warburg Pincus in the presence of AIMA Office Bearers including Mr T V Narendran, President, AIMA and CEO & Managing Director, Tata Steel Ltd.; Mr Vishal Kampani, Senior Vice President, AIMA and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JM Financial Ltd.; Mr Vineet Agarwal, Vice President, AIMA and Managing Director, Transport Corporation of India Ltd. and Ms Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA.

In Category V, the Navsari Management Association emerged as the winner, with the award received by Mr Rohan Sule, President, and Mr Lalit Pandya, Trustee. The Faridabad Management Association was the runner-up, with the award received by Ms Saloni Kaul, Immediate Past President, and Mr V Thyagarajan, Executive Director.

In Category IV, the Coimbatore Management Association won the award, received by Dr Nithyanandan Devaraaj, President, and Mr Puneet Krishnan, Secretary.

In Category III, the Thrissur Management Association emerged as the winner, with the award received by Mr Padmakumar C, Immediate Past President; Mr Shaji P J, Immediate Past Secretary and Ms Swapna Balasubramanian, Treasurer. The Jamshedpur Management Association was the runner-up, with the award received by Mr Chaitanya Bhanu, President, and Mr Amitabh Bhattcharjee, Secretary.

The Indore Management Association won Category II, with the award received by CA Navin Khandelwal, President; Mr Ashwani Palshikar, Vice President; and Ms Chani Trivedi, Honorary Secretary.

The Madras Management Association won Category I, with the award received by Mr A R Unnikrishnan, President, and Group Captain R Vijayakumar, Executive Director.
