Mankind is facing the grandest disaster ever, which is termed as global warming. The scientists and some concerned agencies are trumpeting about this again and again. But our complacency does not let us take any notice. We imagine that the concerned authorities, the government or some NGOs, or even the scientists themselves will take care of it. Or perhaps the problem does not exist at all. This i
s far from the truth. We are very fast reaching the POINT OF NO RETURN. Implying that after that, no effort however magnanimous will make much difference. But it doesn’t befit us to take things lying down. In our misguided preoccupation with “progress” we forgot to take care of its source. It’s time to look back and re-evaluate our values and priorities. We are not about the big things like carbon tax and govt. We focus on small things that all of us, as responsible proud individuals can do to reduce our carbon footprint and make our beloved planet a beautiful, clean and peaceful place. It’s about small challenges that we can take to improve our quality of life and life of our fellow human beings.
