• Promoting children’s right to education, nutrition, protection and overall well-being.

• Promoting the rights of women and girls and in creating a safe and dignified environment for them.

• Providing legal and counselling aid to women survivors of violence and helping them restore a life of dignity and equity.

• Promoting Sustainable forms of Agriculture & supporting collectives of Women Farmers.

• Promoting Land Rights, Right to Livelihoods especially of Dalits, Adivasis and Women, particularly single women.

• Addressing Urban Poverty and creating inclusive and equitable platforms for urban poor and informal sector workers, particularly women.

• Building leadership and livelihood skills amongst the youth, in the communities we work with.

• Address the issues of distress-migration and eradicating Bonded Labour by developing community led mechanisms of monitoring and livelihoods.

• Promoting democracy and inclusive governance at all levels and encourage participation of marginalised and excluded communities in socio-economic and political sphere.

• Conservation of Natural Resources, Public Commons and Promotion of community-led mechanisms of monitoring and preservation.

• Humanitarian response during Natural Disasters and Conflict situations. In line with these thematic areas we are also engaged in two national campaigns namely:

A state-level conference on dignified minimum wages was organized by ActionAid Association in Jaipur, Rajasthan, bringing together nearly 200 workers and representatives from trade unions and people’s organisations across the state.
Workers from mining, construction, sanitation, domestic work, agriculture, gig work, and other informal sectors raised concerns around low wages, rising inflation, unsafe working conditions, silicosis, and lack of social security.
The conference demanded an increase in Rajasthan’s minimum wage to ₹26,000 per month, regular VDA revision linked to inflation, and stronger collective action for workers’ rights, social security, and dignified livelihoods.

ActionAid Association members met Rajendra Cholan, Commissioner of Bangalore Central City Municipal Corporation (BBMP) Karnataka, to discuss basic amenities issues in slum areas. BBMP engineers were directed to visit affected communities and submit a report within one week. ActionAid Association conducted weekly documentation and record collection activities at the WFC (Worker Facilitation Centre) in Keru, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The team also carried out a residential outreach visit to the Meghwal settlement in Indroka village, engaging with members of the Sandstone Quarry Workers’ Collective. During the visit, 15 ABHA cards and 2 Ayushman cards were created to support workers’ access to healthcare services, and 1 application was submitted for a silicosis health check-up. The initiative focused on strengthening healthcare access and social security support for quarry workers and their families.

ActionAid Association, in collaboration with the Agriculture Department, Dharmapuri District, Tamil Nadu, distributed 126 hybrid coconut saplings to community members under an Aadhaar-linked climate resilience initiative. Each family received saplings based on the number of members, creating opportunities for long-term livelihood support and environmental sustainability.
Over the next 5–7 years, each of these coconut trees are expected to produce nearly 100 coconuts annually, providing nutrition, household use, and an additional source of income for families while contributing to climate change mitigation.

ActionAid Association team visited Nursinghpur village, Odisha, to follow up with the Adisakti Women’s Collective supported under the livelihood initiative for vegetable cultivation. The collective women are actively engaged in vegetable farming and have also expanded into mushroom cultivation, contributing to improved household income and better nutrition.
Supported by ActionAid Association and Mukul Madhav Foundation, the initiative is helping strengthen women’s capacities and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities within the community.
