Visiting an old age home, also known as an 🫂🤝 intergenerational program, offers significant benefits for primary students, contributing to their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
While Interacting with older adults exposes children to the realities of aging, illness, and loneliness, fostering a deeper sense of empathy, kindness, and compassion.The direct, positive interactions challenge negative opinion about older people, replacing them with understanding and respect. They learn to view seniors as individuals with unique life stories and wisdom.
It helps students to practice valuable social skills like active listening, polite conversation, patience, and adapting their communication style to interact with people who may have physical or cognitive limitations. These visits promote the idea that all generations are connected and have a responsibility to care for one another, strengthening their sense of community and civic engagement .

🌟Hands to Happiness – Community Service & Experiential Learning Visit

students from Classes 6–10 visited Blooming Birds, Indukurpet, to experience the joy of caring, sharing, and connecting with the community.

👍This meaningful visit helped students understand the value of kindness, respect, and social responsibility.
💐They interacted with the children and staff, shared moments of joy, and participated in service-oriented activities such as spending quality time, engaging in games, distributing essentials, and offering support with empathy and respect.

😊The collected provisions were hand over to Blooming Birds at indukurpet.

Through this activity, learners realised that helping others not only brings smiles to others but also creates inner happiness and personal growth.🌾

Introducing Annual COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY in Dr. Kishore’s RACE Gen Next Schools & RACE International School. Children of Classes 1-5 are encouraged to collect the necessary NEEDS from their homes. And then they will visit ORPHANAGE & OLD-AGE Homes to distribute and spend time there. This will develop the quality of sharing. We decided to make this an Annual Event and will relate to CHILDREN’S DAY.
