📚❤️ Lifetime Savings Donated for Education in Assam

In an inspiring act of generosity, veteran educationists Dr. Nandita Bhattacharya Goswami and Dr. Pannalal Goswami, both former faculty members of Cotton College, have donated ₹1 crore from their lifetime savings to Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit & Ancient Studies University (KBVS&ASU), Nalbari.

The donation will establish an academic chair dedicated to Assamese language, culture, Sanskrit, and ancient studies, strengthening research and higher education in these fields.

Speaking about their decision, Dr. Nandita Bhattacharya Goswami said, "Money is actually a burden for us. By donating it back to the people, we have lightened that burden." The couple said they believe in the philosophy of "Plain Living, High Thinking" and wanted their lifetime earnings to serve society through education.

This remarkable contribution has been widely praised as a shining example of selfless service and dedication to the future of Assam's education and cultural heritage.
