IMF & FSUI Lead Urgent Industry Alignment on Seafarer Crisis

IMF and FSUI brought together RPSL stakeholders at a critical moment to address the growing gap between ground realities and regulatory clarity in the Persian Gulf situation.

Aishwarya Pilankar (IMF) highlighted the need to bring focus back to the human element and build structured support systems.
Vivek Rastogi (IMF) raised concerns around rising compliance risks and lack of clarity for RPSLs.
Manoj Yadav (FSUI) shared real-time distress signals from seafarers facing safety threats, shortages, and communication breakdowns.

A quick industry poll during the session showed strong alignment — stakeholders are seeking clear frameworks, coordinated action, and immediate intervention.
