We People living in cities have become so busy with our work, that we have no time for social causes, for our environment, and for the beautification of our cities. Today our Mumbai city has become very populated; the numbers of vehicles on city roads are increasing, presence of industries etc. Today the Oxygen level in our Mumbai city is very low, that has lead to many respiratory diseases. In some parts of Mumbai, the oxygen level is even below the health safety standards. We as Mumbaikars can plant a tree, and make our Mumbai city look much greener and beautiful. Our Motto is to create awareness and invite our YOUTH to contribute their ENERGY, VIGOR and enjoy nature in its original splendour and maintain it for themselves and future generations – this is one step towards reducing Global Warming and being a TRUE & RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN.

Week 317. Heavy rain. Deep mud. Still, they showed up. 🌧️🌱

Our dedicated volunteers, brave-hearted students, and Mangrove Soldiers stepped into the mangroves despite the pouring rain — because protecting nature doesn’t come with a weather forecast.

But here’s the painful part…

While a few hundred people were walking through mud to remove the waste, thousands of others were still treating our streets, waterways and mangroves like open dumpsters.

Every plastic bottle, wrapper and piece of garbage thrown on the street has somewhere to go.

It travels through our drains.
It reaches our waterways.
And eventually, it reaches our mangroves and ocean.

Our mangroves protect our coastlines, support marine life and give our cities a natural defence against climate threats.

Yet we continue feeding them our garbage.

And honestly, why should a court order us to do what basic civic sense should already teach us?

Polite requests aren’t enough anymore.

If you see someone littering right in front of you — speak up.
Call them out respectfully.
Ask them to use a bin.
Set an example.

Because silence makes littering feel normal.

Our volunteers can keep cleaning.
But we cannot clean faster than people can litter.

The real solution isn’t more cleanups.

The real solution is fewer people creating the mess.

Weeks 316 drive

Every single weekend, volunteers break their backs clearing tons of garbage from our mangroves. Today, 148 people pulled 1.5 tons of trash—mostly plastic, thermocol, and old footwear—out of the mud.

316 weeks of cleaning. And the trash keeps coming.

Why? Because too many people treat our rivers, nalas, and mangroves like a personal garbage dump. We obsess over keeping the inside of our houses spotless, then step outside and spit, drop wrappers, or throw full trash bags straight into flowing water.

If you can keep your living room clean, you can hold onto your trash until you find a bin. Rivers are meant for water, not your household waste. Marine life is suffocating because of pure laziness and zero civic sense.

It starts at home: teach your family that littering is unacceptable. And it ends with strict action: local municipal authorities need to stop issuing gentle warnings and start heavily penalizing every single person caught dumping waste. Polite requests clearly aren't working.

Do better. Stop littering.

भारत दुनिया को आगे बढ़ने की राह दिखा रहा है… लेकिन क्या हम अपने कचरे को डस्टबिन तक पहुँचाना भी सीख पाए हैं? 🇮🇳💔

आज भारत IT, मेडिकल, फार्मास्युटिकल, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और स्पेस टेक्नोलॉजी जैसे कई क्षेत्रों में दुनिया का नेतृत्व कर रहा है। 🚀🌍

लेकिन इसी विकास के बीच हम बुनियादी Civic Sense में पीछे क्यों रह गए हैं?

1.4 अरब की आबादी वाले देश में समस्या इतनी बड़ी नहीं है कि उसका समाधान न हो सके।
हम जो खाते हैं, इस्तेमाल करते हैं या उपभोग करते हैं—उसे बस सही जगह, सही डस्टबिन में डालना है। बस इतना ही। 🗑️

फिर भी हर रविवार हमें मैंग्रोव्स में वही कचरा उठाना पड़ता है, जो किसी ने अपने हाथों से यहाँ फेंका है। 💔🌿

हम बिना किसी स्वार्थ, बिना किसी पुरस्कार और बिना किसी प्रशंसा की उम्मीद के हर सप्ताह आते हैं—क्योंकि मैंग्रोव्स सिर्फ पेड़ नहीं हैं, ये हमारे शहर की प्राकृतिक ढाल हैं और हजारों जीवों का घर हैं। 🦀🐦🌱

लेकिन सवाल हमसे भी है और आपसे भी—

अगर हम अपने घर को गंदा नहीं करते, तो अपने शहर और प्रकृति को क्यों?

🙏 थोड़ी जिम्मेदारी उठाइए।
🙏 कचरा मत फैलाइए।
🙏 और जहाँ संभव हो, सफाई में अपना योगदान दीजिए।

देश को स्वच्छ बनाने की जिम्मेदारी सिर्फ सरकार की नहीं—हम 1.4 अरब नागरिकों की भी है। 🇮🇳
