As an NGO & Social Organization, it has been active through various events and programmes of public welfare and social awareness in Navi Mumbai since 2002. [Thi
s is a partial list of Achievements of Hope India in various fields that we are operating in... we have no bar or restriction on area/filed of activity... We believe in Potential Immense and Possibilities Unlimited.] Hence, this list is just indicative of our major work.
1.Disaster Management: Flood Relief Work: We were appointed as a nodal agency by the Dy. Collector of Panvel to monitor relief work in entire Panvel Taluka during the flood of July 2005. We reached personally to over 10000 households in 52 villages of Taluka with help and distributed various staple & consumer items including rice, pulses, flour, tea, sugar, toothpaste, brush, soap, detergent, cleaner, utensils, mats and clothes. We have been regularly engaged in disaster management during earth-quack, Tsunami, Flood and dificult times of natural calamities. Our members are always ready to help and support selflessly to victims of such disasters.
2. Consumer Protection & Empowerment with Social Awareness: EcoBazaar: For direct benefits to consumers, Hope India have been organizing since 1998 on the occasion of Diwali, a fortnightly sale of useful consumer goods which are ecological in quality and economical in price wherein high quality items like Eco Filter, Eco Gifts, Eco Garments and Eco Sweets items are sold at a hefty discount of as high as 70%. Eco Food items prepared by women supported by Hope India’s Sewa Bharati, a Self-help group are sold and promoted with a view to make those ladies independent. During the Eco Bazaar, Diwali festival is celebrated every year with a purpose of dedicating deep-lights for the welfare and wellbeing of a particular cause like Migrated Kashmiris (2002), helpless old-aged people (2003), Ecological Environment (2004), Flood-affected Victims (2005), Conquering Ego in Human beings (2006), Honesty in Public Life (2007), Fighting Terrorism (2008) etc.
3. Stand-up Against Poverty & Hunger: Food Charity: Every week, over 200 poor people are provided cooked meal at different religious places since 1996. Hope India is also affiliated with UNO in their mission to create awareness about poverty alleviation through the programme of Stand-up to create awareness and conduct pledge against poverty every year since 2006.
4. Annual Tri-Pledge & National Awakening Campaign through Dussehra Festival: Every year, this festival is conducted in Panvel by us since 2006 with a mission to spread spirit of unity, harmony and victory by carrying a city-wide procession and burning 40-ft tall effigy of Ravan as symbol of Ego, Corruption and Terrorism. A tri-pledge to fight against these three-evils is also conducted by renowned and honest persons of society giving oath to all the attendees. The event has become a landmark programme of grand festival in which thousands of citizens from Panvel, New Panvel and surrounding villages take part. We believe that every action starts with the idea of a thought and imbibing that thought of awareness and action through a mass-pledge is the most effective way of purifying and empowering the mind of people in their fight against any evil in Individual, Society and the country; hence is this method of Pledge Against Ego, Corruption and Terrorism conducted by Hope India year-after-year to remind and awake people.
5. The greatest Religion is TO SERVE: Sri Ganeshotsav: On the most auspicious festival of Maharashtra, Hope India distributes special laddoos and sharbat every year to devotees during Visarjan at many places since 2004. Special prasad is made and provided to police force and volunteers of various groups who work tirelessly to ensure peaceful and joyful procession of Ganeshotsav;Similar service-oriented activities are carried on religious festivals like Diwali, Gudi Padwa, Holi to celebrate with needy and poor people by distributing sweets and enjoying the event to curb the gap of discrimination in the society. Recently, the Diwali festival of 2011 was celebrated by us with tribal people and children in their village - Bhallachi Wadi near Morbe in Panvel Taluka of Raigad district.
6. Jan Sahayata Kendra: To help and guide people in resolving their grievances and needs related to consumer rights, right to information, ration card, pan card, voters ID cards and other sundry matters of public welfare.
7. NGO Projects: Hope India has been engaged in carrying various projects for promotion of education, employment and empowerment of people. These are: EcoEducation for revolution in learning and teaching, Hopeline for helping eradication of unemployment, Asha Ka Jharna for welfare of disabled and mentally re****ed children, Shoulder for old-aged, Hi-Fi for free financial consulting and investment guidance, Apnapan Network for motivating people for social work and Sewa Bharti for empowerment of women.
8. VOTE INDIA 100% RIGHT: We were the first to initiate this campaign for creating awareness about voting, Right Voting and 100% Voting in 2006. We not only appealed to people for exercising their franchise but also to good people and not to sell or waste their casting right. The small campaign grew big during the recently held General Election across the country. So, under this campaign, we Appeal – Stop Criticizing Politics and Politicians’. If you love your country, come out and cast your vote. Join the mainstream of politics to clean the system and make India corruption-free.
9. Healthy India, Happy India: Project HAM & HAD: We have started these unique projects to give hope of survival to Indians in their fight against Malnutrition to Rural and Tribal Villagers and against Diabetes to Urban population. HAM stands for Hope Against Malnutrition whereas HAD stands for Hope Against Diabetes. Under project HAM, we distribute an innovative (first in the World) Health Salt which is rich with nutrients that gives multiple benefits of nourishment, immunization and vital vitamins to poor people who can't afford even two-meals daily. Since Salt is a fraction of food cost, the intake of nutritional needs comes at a low cost hence is our solution to the problem of deaths due to malnutrition. Similarly, under project HAD, we provide sugar-free products which are invented and produced through bio-technologically and also economical compared to other products available in the market. People suffering or having threat of diabetes due to faulty life-style or wrong food habits can get relief by using these Eco-sugar products and defeat the worry of diabetes. These products under HAM & HAD can be used by both rural and urban people as the need be. Here, the classification is done to lay focus on the areas having these health problems at common level. Hope India advocates and support that a healthy India will be happy and a happy India can only be called a Super Power irrespective of the height of prosperity. We have surveyed and found that every year a million children below the age of 5 are dying due to malnutrition & over 40% population in cities and 10% in villages suffer from Diabetes. Our Governments - Centre & States - spend collectively several thousand Cr. every year to fight against these menaces. We have estimated that just by spending Rs. 50 Cr. annually, we can cover entire India to fight against malnutrition and save 100% deaths due to this reason through distribution of the Health Salt. So, Be a part of these projects. Sponsor a family or a tribal village. You can save the life of a family in tribal & rural area just with a contribution of Rs. 250/- for a year and you can adopt a village of 50 families with a contribution as low as Rs. 11000/- per year.
10. Spiritual Empowerment of People: A. AMRIT-CHINTAN through Weekly Amritvani Aadhyatmik Satsang - To empower people spiritually, the greatest power of universe and to remind them and inculcate virtues and purify souls so that they are encouraged and self-motivated to lead a meaningful, service-oriented and successful life with happiness, good deeds and selfless spirit. The weekly satsang is conducted by our associate organization at AAS Bhavan every Sunday in first half since 1998 under the spiritual guidance of HH Prof. Saurabh Sir on behalf of HH Brahmleen Swami Satyanandji Maharaj. His highly intellectual yet simplified discourses on various topics and religious granths with scientific explanation in practical life gives a soothing aroma of free life and the musical satsang makes devotees forget miseries of this materialistic world to take them to the higher plain of highest pleasure, peace and perfection. Srimad Bhagawat Katha Parayan: A year-long Katha (2005-06) with the objective of welfare and well-being of the people after the trauma and devastated life during flood. A first-ever grand procession with 151 Manokamna Poorti Kalash Shobha Yatra was conducted in which 5000+ people marched in a 7 km long procession with the aim to revive the broken faith of the people after the disaster of Flood. Special Anushthans: Every year special programmes are conducted on the occasions of Basant Panchmi, Mahashivratri, Hanuman Jayanti, Ramnavmi, Buddha Poornima, Guru Poornima, Janmashtami, Navratra, Deepotsav and Geeta-jayanti. Mahaprasadam and special discourses and parayan of Holy Books like Srimad Bhagwadgita, Valmiki Ramayan, Sri Devi Bhagwat, Shiv-puran, Glowbal Hanuman,Bhakti Prakash, Upnishads are done on these auspicious days and during Sundays. The unique feature of this Activity is that every year Republic Day, Independence Day and Vijayadashmi are celebrated with Deshbhakti Satsang. We also encourage people to conduct special satsang on the occasion of birthdays, Anniversaries and other events of success and happiness to get blessing of Almighty instead of spending laviously on parties and celebrating on western culture. Besides, Hope India also conducts programmes for the welfare and awareness of people for a reason of variety. Our members have been instrumental in nabbing culprits of various offences and accidents in their areas. Many frauds have also been detected and caught by us, e.g. Credit card Fraud, Harpic Marketing fraud, Sony Advertising Enterprises Fraud, Stock Market fraud by some unscrupulous Agents and creating awareness against internet frauds etc. Free Health check-ups, Blood donation camps and helping poor for costly treatment are other activities under the aegis of Hope India and its affiliated organizations. Some programmes are specially focused for welfare and guidance of youth who are counseled and inspired to harness their skills to make their career and life meaningful so as to pursue the goal of making India a Superpower.
