16th May 2026 | Visit to My Care Elderly Wellness Centre, Naglabunder Branch, Thane.
We reached the venue to find the residents eagerly waiting for us. Like little children, they were seated with excitement, looking forward to spending a beautiful day together.
We began the program with Amma’s introduction and shared Amma’s teachings with the elders, followed by Maa Om and bhajans. Thereafter, we arranged a few fun activities and games for everyone.
Amma says that the innocence, wonder, and playfulness of a child reside within all of us, and this is something we experience in every program we conduct — this day was no different. The residents participated wholeheartedly; whether it was singing songs or enthusiastically playing games, their energy was so infectious that we volunteers became children along with them.
Some volunteers also had the opportunity to interact personally with the elders. One elderly resident was deeply moved and shared how seeing the volunteers reminded him of his son. Another elderly lady fondly reminisced about her younger days and spoke about the time she worked at Mantralaya.
It was a moment filled with emotions — while a few shed silent tears remembering their loved ones, others were joyfully transported back to the memories of their youth, and some expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love, care, and companionship they continue to receive in the present.
We concluded by donating food grain & essential items as a token of love and returned back with fond memories and a prayer to Amma to bless everyone 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 🕉️ Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu
