🌿 Save Your Environment: Cleaning of Mangroves 🌿

Today, Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Samaritans joined Environment Life Foundation (ELF) for a Mangrove Cleaning Drive at Nerul.

This marked the 300th consecutive Sunday Cleaning Drive by ELF — an extraordinary initiative running uninterrupted since 15th August 2020. Immense credit goes to Founder Dharmesh Barai for inspiring countless citizens to actively participate in protecting mangroves and preserving the environment.

The initiative perfectly aligns with Rotary’s Focus Area on Environment, and Samaritans are proud to support this cause through awareness and active participation.

Over these 300 weeks, ELF has removed nearly 1200 MT of trash from mangroves — a staggering reminder of the scale of work still needed to build environmental awareness within the community.

Kudos to the entire ELF team led by Dharmesh Barai for their relentless dedication. Rotary Samaritans are proud to be associated with this meaningful movement.

Keep spreading awareness. Keep doing the work. Protect the environment! 🌱

🌍🤝 *Proud Moment of International Rotary Fellowship*🇮🇳🇮🇪

*RCNM Samaritans was honoured to exchange club flags with the Rotary Club of Wexford, Ireland, during their weekly meeting held at Newtown Park Hotel, County Wexford.*

*This symbolic exchange with Club President Rtn. Eric McClintock represents much more than friendship between two clubs — it reflects our shared commitment to Service Above Self, global understanding, and meaningful collaboration across borders.*

*I was also privileged to present a brief on the work and impact of RCNM Samaritans and RID 3142 sharing our signature projects and our passion for service in areas such as Pediatric Heart Surgeries, Thalassemia support, Education, Mental Health, and Community Development as per invitation of District Membership Chair Rtn Michael Foley ( RID 1160) & Asst Governor Rtn Calodagh McCumiskey.*

*The warmth, hospitality, and fellowship extended by the Rotarians of RC Wexford made the experience truly memorable and reaffirmed that Rotary truly connects the world.*

💎 *The Metaphor of Mahakumbh – A Truly Enriching Experience*

What an incredible session!

As always, Dr. Lucky S. Kasat enthralled and engaged the audience with his deep insights, powerful research, and compelling storytelling.

From the sheer scale of infrastructure and seamless organisation to digital transformation, the role of AI, and ultimately the profound spiritual journey within—the essence of the Mahakumbh was beautifully unravelled.

Why Mahakumbh is so special, and why it is an experience everyone should embrace to rediscover themselves, was explained with great clarity and depth.

Laced with his signature wit, humour, and vivid narratives capturing the many nuances and characters of the Kumbh Mela, the session kept the audience fully engaged throughout.

It was not just informative—it was truly thought-provoking and enjoyable.

A wonderful morning with RCNM Samaritans & Sunrisers also reflected the warmth, bonhomie, and fellowship that define Rotary at its best 🤝

Another satisfying service to humanity ❤️

Samaritans chose to spend the evening of Good Friday in service—serving dinner at TATA ACTREC, Kharghar.

We were delighted to be joined by FL Rtn. Priya Makol along with her son Anay, making the evening even more special.

Together, we served dinner to around 400 patients and their attendants.
Serving those who are ailing and in need was a deeply humbling and gratifying experience.

Moments like these truly define what Rotary stands for.

Rotary means this!

*Beyond Awareness: ManoSAMmelan 4.0 Sparks Conversations on Dementia Care*

ManoSAMmelan 4.0 — our signature Annual Mental Health Seminar by RCNM Samaritans — was successfully held on 24th March 2026 at G.D. Pol Foundation Homeopathic Medical College.

This year’s theme “Dementia: How to Cope with and Handle it with Care” struck a deep chord with the audience, especially young doctors and interns.

Insightful sessions by Dr. Omkar Mate and Dr. Chetan Vispute, along with a heartfelt caregiver perspective by Rtn. Alok Jha, made the seminar truly impactful.

Honoured by the presence of District Governor Rtn. Harsh Makol and supported by co-host clubs RCNM Hillside, RCNM Bayside & RC Navi Mumbai, the event reinforced our commitment to making ManoSAMmelan not just a seminar—but a movement to break the stigma around mental health.

Each attendee walked away with awareness, empathy, and a renewed sense of responsibility towards mental well-being.

*District Governor Visits RCNM Samaritans for Official Club Visit (OCV)*

District Governor Rtn. Harsh Makol visited the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Samaritans on 9th March for his Official Club Visit.

During the visit, DG Makol completed the scheduled interactions with the Board and members through the Club Assembly, followed by a General Assembly attended by members and invitees.

On the occasion, President Rtn. Abhijit Chaudhury presented his report highlighting the club’s activities and the various service projects undertaken during the ongoing Rotary year.

DG Makol appreciated the Samaritans for carrying out several meaningful initiatives and for touching many lives through their service efforts. He encouraged the club to continue its impactful work with the same enthusiasm and commitment.

The formal proceedings were followed by a delightful evening of fellowship and camaraderie, where members, guests, and the Samaritan family spent quality time together celebrating the spirit of Rotary. ☘️
