We, at Heroes, have a created a platform for citizens where all the blood banks of Nashik update details about their bloodstock on our website(heroes.org.in) since January 2017. Centralized real-time information of blood stock is made available for citizens. People who need blood do not have to run here and there to find blood during emergencies. They can visit this website which will provide them
with the location of the nearest blood bank. They can access information like name of the blood bank, quantity available, distance from their current location on Google maps, contact numbers, and when was this stock last updated by the blood bank. Heroes is also working towards improving the donor experience at blood donation camps and predicting the amount of blood required in the near future. This solution was conceived at Digital Impact Square, a Tata Consultancy Services Foundation Initiative, for social impact innovation. Our solution has been derived based on voice of citizens, priorities of the government, and constant mentorship from diverse thought - leaders from across Industry and academia. This initiative is supported by Nashik Municipal Corporation.
