People have different individual reasons why they
join the gym: some to lose weight and some to
develop muscle mass, some for a six-pack and
some for a cardio workout. The gym stands for all that they are looking
forward to, that will help to achieve the individual goals that appeal to their
hearts. One does not get a six-pack overnight! It requires a certain level of
consi

stent efforts and patience. Heartfulness meditation: Our interactions with so many meditators across the
globe show us that, like for gym-goers, there is a whole spectrum of aims to
achieve. For example:
• Emotional and mental well-being, less anxiety, greater empathy, peace
and calmness, and relaxation that can be felt at the mental level. The
results are immediate,
• Physical well-being, better health with reduced blood pressure, heart
rate normalcy, better and deeper sleep, and relaxation that can be felt
at the physical level. The results are immediate, and
• Spiritual well-being, reflected as inner joy and bliss. Here too the results
are palpable and immediate. Scientific Approach to Meditation: There will be nothing extraordinary about
the method of meditation, unless there is the help of transmission that is
prompted from another expert meditator. To prove this in an experiential way, it is recommended that you:
a) Begin without any expectation of any sort, and must meditate with the
prescribed method. b) Then, after a few minutes, meditate with the same method, but now in the
company of an expert meditator who meditates along with you. This expert
can either be physically present or at some remote location. You will then be
able to compare the difference between the two experiences.
