Nature Conservation Society of Nashik

Today we celebrate not just the birthday of our founder, Shri. Bishwarup Raha, but also honors the incredible journey he has led in the cause of nature conservation.
It was his vision, many years ago, that gave birth to the Nature Conservation Society of Nashik. What began as a dream in his heart has now grown into a movement that inspires students, communities and nature lovers alike.
He spent countless hours spreading awareness, building teams, and guiding young minds to connect with nature.
On these special day, we want to express our gratitude, not only for founding these NGO but also for nurturing them with such sincerity and commitment.
May his journey continue to remind us that conserving nature is not just a responsibility, but a way of life.

Today we have done a Tribal Education Program at WPU Ashramshala, Waghere, Trimbakeshwar.
More than 500 students were participated in our activities.

A nature Drawing Competition was held at Zilha parishad Ashramshala, Kharpadi and ZPPS Bhorpada. Where students showcased their creativity and love for nature through beautiful artwork.
More than 500 students participated in our activity of drawing and power point presentation where they were taught about the importance of birds and need to protect them.

Today we have done a Tribal Education Program (Nature Drawing Competition & PowerPoint Presentation) at ZPPS Torangan and Dalpatpur.
More than 500-600 students were participated and showcased their creativity.

Monsoon Magic Alert!

Monsoon walk at Borgad Conservation Reserve.

During the monsoon season, we embark on a serene walk through the densely wooded trails, exploring the vibrant world of the forest.The forest has a different aura during the monsoon.

Nature Drawing Competition and awareness program was held today in ZPPS Nachlondhi and Shevkhandi.
Around 400 students were participated in the Competition.

Our birding trail at Borgad Conservation Reserve was filled with delightful sightings and cheerful moments. Every walk in nature reminds us that there is always something to observe, learn, and cherish.

Today we have started our tribal education program and covered three schools,Zilha parishad Primary School,Jategaon East and West and Zilha parishad Primary School Chinchwad.
We have conducted nature drawing competition and powerpoint presentation. more than 500 students participated in the event.

A mass bloom of Pink-stripped Lilies at Maini hills.
Every year after the first rains a valley fills up with the bloom of Pink-stripped lily (Crinum latifolium) also know as 'Trumpet lily, Wine lily'. These lilies can be seen in full bloom only for a period of 1-2 weeks.
It distributed all over india. These flowers prefers hilly and rocky terrain. It is the food plant of lily moth.
These wildflowers helps hold the soil intact, are able to retain water and are great source of nectar for pollinators.
