Drugs Abuse and the Loss of Our Youth.

Drug abuse is not just an individual problem—it is a serious threat to families, communities, and the future of our society. Every year, young lives are affected by substance abuse, with some ending in tragic and preventable deaths.

Behind every young person lost to drugs is a family left with grief, unanswered questions, and a painful emptiness. Addiction can affect education, careers, relationships, health, and dreams. What may begin as experimentation or peer pressure can develop into a dangerous pattern that becomes difficult to break.

We must respond with awareness, compassion, prevention, and timely support. Young people struggling with substance use should not be treated with shame or isolation. Families, schools, youth organisations, communities, and authorities all have an important role in creating a safer environment and helping those at risk.

Our youth are our future. Let us protect their dreams before drugs destroy them. Say no to drug abuse. Choose life, health, hope, and a drug-free society.

The All Piyong Circle Youth Association (APCYA) warmly welcomes the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Namsai District Shri. Lobsang Tsering ji, APCS, to Namsai and extends its sincere best wishes for a successful and people-oriented tenure.

With a strong commitment towards the welfare of students and the development of Piyong Circle, APCYA recently submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner highlighting several pressing concerns regarding Government schools in Piyong Circle.

Through its “Shiksha Seva Abhiyan,” APCYA has visited several Government schools to understand the challenges faced by students and teachers. The association brought to the administration’s attention the shortage of subject teachers, inadequate classrooms, shortage of benches and desks, lack of essential school infrastructure, and the additional workload on existing teaching staff.

APCYA firmly believes that education must remain a priority, particularly in rural and remote areas, where students deserve equal access to quality education and proper learning facilities.

The association sincerely appreciates the very positive and encouraging response from the Deputy Commissioner towards the grievances raised. His receptive approach and willingness to look into the issues have given APCYA renewed hope that the genuine concerns of students and teachers will receive appropriate attention.

APCYA looks forward to constructive cooperation with the new district administration and hopes that necessary action will be initiated to strengthen the education system in Piyong Circle.

A warm welcome to the new DC, Namsai. Together, let us work towards better schools, stronger education and a brighter future for our children.

Dated 8: Sept. 2026.
Ch. Noi Tewa Manpoong’s inspiring life journey, and his message to young people:

From Addiction to Renewal: A Powerful Message to Youth.

Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh: The All Piyong Circle Youth Association (APCYA) attended the first anniversary celebration Manthan and awarness of drugs abuse and peservation of indigenous languages by NJWF Namsai JournalistWelfareForum. Namsai Journalist Welfare Forum, an occasion that brought together journalists, community members, youth representatives and well-wishers to reflect on the role of the media and society in building a responsible and progressive community.

Among the notable moments of the programme was an emotional and deeply personal sharing by Ch. Noi Tewa Manpoong, a well-known and successful entrepreneur from Namsai District. He openly spoke about his difficult past and the transformation that eventually changed the course of his life.

Sharing his life story, Ch. Noi Tewa Manpoong recalled that he became involved with illegal narcotic substances at a young age. His addiction gradually affected every aspect of his life. He eventually lost his property, faced bankruptcy and went through an extremely difficult period. During this challenging phase, he also lost his father, a loss he described as particularly painful because he could not be there with him in the way he wished.

However, his life eventually reached a turning point after he came into contact with Chowsra Tengapani. The guidance and spiritual influence he received helped him reconsider his choices and find the strength to rebuild his life.

With determination and a renewed sense of purpose, he gradually returned to the right path. He rebuilt his life, recovered his financial stability and went on to establish his business successfully. His journey from hardship and addiction to entrepreneurship stands as a powerful reminder that a person can change direction when they find the courage and support to do so.

While sharing his story, Ch. Noi Tewa Manpoong also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his wife, who stood beside him through the most difficult period of his life. With tears in his eyes, he acknowledged the hardships she endured and the strength she showed when their family was facing severe challenges.

His message to the younger generation was clear and emotional: do not allow addiction and destructive activities to take away your future, your family and the people you love.

He urged young people to stay away from illegal narcotic substances and harmful activities, emphasizing that success is meaningful only when one's life, family and relationships are protected.

One of the most touching messages from his address was:

«“Once your beloved is gone, there will be no chance to say sorry, no matter how hard you try.”»

His words served not merely as a warning but as a lesson drawn from personal experience. His journey demonstrates the devastating consequences addiction can bring, but also shows that with determination, guidance, family support and a willingness to change, rebuilding one's life is possible.

The occasion of the first anniversary of the Namsai Journalist Welfare Forum therefore became more than a celebration. It also provided a platform for sharing experiences, inspiring the younger generation and strengthening the collective responsibility of society to protect youth from addiction and other destructive influences.

For APCYA, such conversations are especially significant in encouraging young people to choose education, sports, entrepreneurship, community service and productive livelihoods over substances and destructive habits.

Ch. Noi Tewa Manpoong’s story is ultimately a story of warning, gratitude and hope—a reminder that the road back may be difficult, but choosing the right path can transform a life.

Piyong Circle, Namsai District | 19 August 2026

We the All Piyong Circle Youth Association (APCYA) visited the office of the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Namsai, to raise serious concerns regarding the shortage of adequate teaching staff and other pressing issues affecting government schools across Piyong.

During the meeting, APCYA submitted its demands for immediate intervention from the education authorities. The association urged the department to take the following measures:

1. Conduct an immediate assessment of teacher requirements in all government schools of Piyong Circle.

2. Deploy adequate teaching staff to schools facing vacancies and teacher shortages.

3. Give priority to the appointment and deployment of teachers in subjects and classes currently facing the greatest shortage.

4. Fill vacant teaching posts at the earliest possible opportunity so that students do not suffer academically because of inadequate staffing.

5. Issue an official notice/direction to the concerned government schools under Piyong Circle to address the reported issues and ensure proper functioning of the schools.

6. Initiate the process for reconstitution of School Management Committees (SMCs), wherever necessary, in accordance with applicable government rules and guidelines.

Since teacher shortages directly affect classroom teaching, subject coverage and the learning opportunities available to students. The association therefore appealed to the education department to treat the matter as a priority and take concrete steps at the earliest.

We belive Childers in rural and remote areas deserve the same opportunity to receive quality education as students elsewhere.

APCYA hopes that the concerns raised before the DDSE will receive timely consideration and that necessary action will be taken in the larger interest of students, teachers and the community.

Education is not merely a service—it is the foundation of the future of Piyong Circle. APCYA therefore calls for timely action, adequate teachers and better educational facilities for every student.
