Celebration of the 9th Foundation Day of Dhamma Aid Foundation

On 31st October 2026, Dhamma Aid Foundation (DAF) proudly celebrated its 9th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and solemnity at its campus.

The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Lobsang Tsering Ji, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, as the Chief Guest, and Chow Milingta Namchoom Ji as the Guest of Honour.

During the occasion, the Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner, Shri Lobsang Tsering Ji, made two important assurances for the welfare of the inmates of Dhamma Shelter Home. He assured that an Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Camp would be arranged at the Shelter Home to facilitate the inmates in obtaining or updating their Aadhaar cards, enabling them to access various Government welfare schemes and facilities.

He also assured that he would discuss the matter with the District Medical Officer (DMO), Namsai, to facilitate regular monthly health check-up camps for the inmates throughout the year. These proposed initiatives will greatly benefit the residents by improving their access to essential identity documentation, healthcare services, and various Government welfare programmes.

The Foundation sincerely appreciates the Deputy Commissioner's concern, encouragement, and continued support towards the welfare and rehabilitation of vulnerable and marginalized individuals.

The occasion was further blessed by the presence of the Holy Sangha, members and volunteers from various rehabilitation centres, distinguished guests, members of the public, and the dedicated staff of Dhamma Aid Foundation.

The Foundation Day celebration provided an opportunity to reflect upon nine years of dedicated service, compassion, and commitment towards humanitarian welfare, social rehabilitation, education, healthcare, moral development, and the upliftment of marginalized and vulnerable sections of society.

.🌾 KVK Namsai Team Visits Dhamma Aid Foundation Campus

On 14th October 2026, a team from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Namsai, visited the Dhamma Aid Foundation (DAF) campus to observe and assess the ongoing agricultural activities.

During the visit, the team inspected the paddy field, ginger garden, and the land prepared for potato cultivation. The visit provided an opportunity to review the progress of agricultural activities and readiness for the upcoming potato plantation.

Dhamma Aid Foundation is committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, self-reliance, and livelihood development through farming activities involving volunteers and inmates of Dhamma Shelter Home.

We sincerely appreciate the visit and support of the KVK Namsai team in encouraging agricultural development and knowledge-sharing at our campus.

Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse and Addiction at Govt. Secondary School, Manhofai

Dhamma Aid Foundation is pleased to share that an Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse and Addiction was successfully conducted by the District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC), Namsai, at Government Secondary School, Manhofai, on 28th September 2026.

The programme aimed to educate and sensitise students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse, its impact on health, education, family and society, and the importance of making positive and responsible choices.

The programme was conducted with the guidance and support of Dr. C.T. Thamoung, District Nodal Officer, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), Namsai. The resource persons from DDAC Namsai interacted with the students and shared valuable information on prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation and seeking timely support for individuals affected by addiction.

Dhamma Aid Foundation sincerely appreciates the Headmaster, teachers, students, Dr. C.T. Thamoung, NMBA Namsai, and the DDAC Namsai team for their valuable cooperation and active participation in making the programme successful.

🧹🌿 CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT DISTRICT HOSPITAL, NAMSAI 🌿🧹

On 25th September 2026, the District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC), Namsai, run by Dhamma Aid Foundation, in collaboration with the All Namsai Area Youth Association (ANAYA), conducted a Cleanliness Drive at District Hospital, Namsai.

The programme was organised to commemorate “Swachhta Hi Sewa” under the vision of Swachh Bharat – Viksit Bharat, promoting cleanliness, hygiene, civic responsibility and a healthy environment.

DDAC staff, ANAYA members and volunteers actively participated in cleaning and maintaining the hospital premises. The initiative highlighted that cleanliness is not merely a responsibility of the authorities but a collective duty of every citizen.

We sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, DDAC staff, ANAYA members, volunteers and well-wishers who generously contributed their time, energy and efforts to make this cleanliness drive meaningful and successful.

🌸 Special Puja to Commemorate the 13th Death Anniversary of Bada Bhanteji 🌸

Today, 23rd September 2026, a special Puja and Dhamma observance was conducted by the monks and inmates of Dhamma Shelter Home, Dhamma Aid Foundation, to commemorate the 13th death anniversary of the Most Venerable Lt. Dr. Acharya Buddharakkhita Bhante, popularly known as “Bada Bhanteji.”

Ven. Acharya Buddharakkhita Bhante was the Founder-President of Mahabodhi Society Bengaluru and its sister organisations. He was a great Dhamma teacher, spiritual guide, and a dedicated pioneer of humanitarian service.

His life and teachings continue to inspire countless people to follow the path of compassion, wisdom, selfless service, and the welfare of all beings.

On this solemn occasion, the monks and inmates of Dhamma Shelter Home paid their respects and offered prayers in his loving memory, dedicating merits for his well-being and expressing gratitude for his invaluable contribution to the Buddha Dhamma and humanitarian service.

May his noble legacy continue to inspire generations in the service of humanity and the Dhamma.

On 19th September 2026, an Awareness Program on Drug and Substance Abuse was conducted by the District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC), Namsai, run by Dhamma Aid Foundation, at Government Higher Secondary School, Lathao, Namsai District.

The program was organized under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR) of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MoSJE), Government of India.

The awareness session focused on educating students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse, prevention, early intervention, and the importance of maintaining a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
