Sanyukta Dal (United Youth) of Lower Gom, Namchi district, organized Vishwakarma Puja today at Gufa Ground, Lower Gom. The program was attended by local drivers, stakeholders of the village, and residents from different sections of the community.

The event included cultural performances by local youth, followed by a felicitation ceremony for outstanding students from the village. Mr. Pravesh Rai, who recently cleared the NEET examination and secured admission for MBBS at SMIMS, was honored for his achievement. Likewise, Ms. Susmita S***a, who earned an opportunity to pursue Ph.D. at Sikkim University, was felicitated for her academic accomplishment.

Members of the organizing committee underlined the importance of motivating youth towards education and community service. The event concluded with prayers for prosperity, unity, and the well-being of the village community.

On 16 February, 2025 Sayukta Dal (United Youth) of Lower Goam, Sorok Shyampani GPU conducted a cleanliness drive in the village area, led by Respected Ward Panchayat Mrs. Bimla Chettri. The drive cleared a large amount of plastic waste and other discarded materials.

The group urged the ward pqnchayat to provide regular garbage collection services and impose fines for littering to maintain a clean environment on coming days.

The team from Sayukta Dal (United Youth) of Lower Goam, observed "A day for Mother Earth" by initiating clean up program alongside the road from zero point to Lower Goam. The team cleaned the road side drain removing litter, debris and weeds. We are proud to have positive impact on our community and look forward to future initiatives..
