Denchung Nav Prativa Sangh Annual Meeting 2025
Denchung Nav Prativa Sangh convened its annual meeting at Sangh Bhawan. The meeting was presided over by Ms Nimkit Lepcha, the Honorable Panchayat President of 40 Denchung D**g GPU, alongside Mrs Chandra Maya Rai Panchayat (Sillichung Ward), Mr Phurden Lepcha ( OSD to the UDD and Food and Civil Supplies Minister), Mr Gyalpo Lepcha (CLC President of Poklok Kamrang Constituency), Mr Kharka Bdr Rai Sangh President, committee members, and the general public of Denchung Sillichung Ward.
In her address, Ms Nimkit Lepcha warmly congratulated the newly appointed executive members of the Sangh. She also expressed her gratitude to the Sangh President and members for their contributions to the 'Shraam Daan' for the repair work on Denchung D**g Road, emphasizing that such work could not have been accomplished without their unity.
Additionally, she introduced a new proposal concerning medical assistance, highlighting the importance of unity in a society rich in diverse cultures, traditions, and rituals, and urged everyone to support this initiative for the betterment of the Sangh.
Mr Kharka Bdr Rai (Sangh President) shared valuable insights regarding various progress initiatives to date, addressing some of the current societal issues and encouraging all villagers to unite and demonstrate strength, power, and togetherness for the benefit of future generations.
On behalf of the Sangh, he also expressed gratitude to the Honorable Zilla Panchayat of 40 Denchung D**g GPU, Mr. Albert Tamang, for the new sound system recently provided to DNPS.
Mr J B Rai (Sangh Advisor) shared his valuable perspectives on various Sangh issues and noted that 79 individuals from Denchung Ward are engaged in government employment, which he described as a significant achievement for the Sangh. He discussed how they have balanced their roles as government employees with their commitment to social work.
He encouraged everyone to maintain a positive outlook and to serve as an inspiration to the upcoming generation, whether through action or guidance.
Mr Yogesh Rai (Sangh Treasurer) provided a comprehensive briefing on all account details dating back to 2021. He also shared detailed information regarding the total number of households associated with the Sangh, noting a consistent increase over time.
Additionally, the Sangh has appointed new committee members, including Mr Birdhoj Tamang, Mrs Sharmila Tamang, Mr Sajan Rai, Mr Sanjeet Rai, and Mr Sanjay Rai, who will serve as Coordinators for the collection of monthly fees.
The Advisor for the Sangh Panchayat President Ms Nimkit Lepcha, along with Mrs Chandra Maya Rai (Panchayat Sillichung ward), Mr S B Chettri and Mr Karma Tshering Tamang.
The Vice Presidents for the Sangh are Mrs. Laki Lepcha and Mr Namgyal Tamang.
Mr Biru Lepcha has been appointed as the Joint Secretary of the Sangh.
Mrs Monika Chettri will serve as the Culture Coordinator for the Sangh.
The Sports Coordinators include Mr Rubain Lepcha, Mr Lakpa Tamang, Mr Michal Rai, Mr Chedup Lepcha, Mr Rupel Lepcha, and Mr Sujan Rai.
Mr Ritesh Rai has been designated as the Publicity Coordinator.
Mr Suraj Rai will take on the role of Store Keeper.
Mr Bir Kumar Rai and Mr Norbu Lepcha have been appointed as the Record Keeping Coordinators for the Sangh.
Furthermore, the Sangh has approved a Medical Help proposal, which was presented by a member of the Sangh, aimed at providing genuine assistance to medically needy individuals within the community.
Lastly, on behalf of the Denchung Nav Prativa Sangh and its members, a special thank you is extended to the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang for his blessings towards the DNPS with new Sangh Bhawan.
It may be mentioned here that every first week of the month, the Sangh holds a Monthly Coordination Meeting at the Sangh Bhawan and which is mandatory for all executive members.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr Binod Rai, the General Secretary of the Sangh, while the vote of thanks was presented by Mr Palden Lepcha, the Sangh Vice President.
