WORD was awarded for its contribution in bonded labour service in Namakkal District by Government of Tamilnadu. Mrs. Renida Sarala, Director, WORD received the award from Mr. C.V. Ganesan, Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development, Govt of Tamilnadu in a function in Chennai today.

We conducted a legal awareness program for women at Pallipalayam, Namakkal District on 23 January 2026 in coordination with the Block Legal Services Authority, Kumarapalayam.

Ms. T. Naveena, District Munsif, Kumarapalayam explained important laws and legal procedures during the session. Participants actively clarified their legal doubts and also submitted various petitions during this awareness program for appropriate remedial action.

Ground activities on with our adolescent groups in Namakkal District!

The Valedictory Program for our Market Linked Vocational Program in Virudhachalam held on 30 December 2025.

We had run the vocational training program in Virudhachalam in Cuddalore District in Tamilnadu with the CSR Support from SMFG India Credit Company Limited for a period of 6 months and we have trained 100 women in 2 batches on tailoring skills to enhance their economic development with this core skill.

During the valedictory the Branch Manager of SMFG Virudhachalam Branch participated and gave away the certificates to the trainees.
