Mother Teresa Rural Development Society (MTRDS) proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2026,The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. MTRDS staff and members gathered together to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and remember their courage, dedication and contribution towards building a free India.

Today K.L raju sir and mrs Navya from Mtrds visited the women's Shg in Narketpalli cluster -3 total 23groups of whom 17groups present. Total members 220 of whom 86 present. We explained abot rules and regulations and book keeping.

A new SHG group was formed with 9 women from Choudampally at the MTRDS office. The group was named “Siri Sampada.” The members decided to contribute monthly savings of Rs. 500 and they have deposited Rs. 500 into their group account as an initial amount. 🤝💰

*Women empowerment*

A women’s SHG meeting was conducted at Ismailpally Village, Kattangur Mandal, under the guidance of Mother Teresa Rural Development Society (MTRDS). The village has 5 SHGs, and all 5 groups attended the meeting with 39 members.

Awareness was provided on SHG books, loan applications, meeting rules and regulations, micro-enterprises, skill development, agriculture, and health & hygiene. Members were also given detailed information about Women FPOs, membership benefits, and possible activities after joining. Interested members will submit their names within two days.

The SHG members expressed their gratitude to MTRDS Director *Father Julian* for supporting women’s development in their village.

Today, Mrs. Navya and KL Raju from MTRDS visited Narketpally cluster 2. A meeting was conducted with women’s groups. Minutes Books, Passbooks, and loan applications were checked, and group activities and loan utilization were reviewed. Awareness was given on the Women’s FPO and its benefits, and 11 interested women provided their names for membership.
