A free multi-specialty health camp was successfully organized today at Springdale Academy, Jail Road, Nalbari by Anajori Development Society in collaboration with Medanta – The Medicity. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, where nearly 200 patients received consultation and healthcare services from specialist doctors and medical professionals.

The health camp provided completely free medical consultation and diagnostic services including ECG, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Blood Sugar Test, and Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Test. Patients suffering from heart diseases, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, orthopedic problems, and elderly health-related complications were examined and advised during the camp.

The medical team from Medanta was led by Dr. Sheikh Samim, specialist doctor from Medanta Medicity, along with Mr. Partha Pratim Deka. The team also included ECG technicians, laboratory technicians, and BMD technicians who rendered their valuable services throughout the day.

From Anajori Development Society, the camp was attended by the President and Chief Functionary Mr. Matiur Rahman, Vice President Mr. Basanta Baishya, Secretary Mr. Dipankar Talukdar, and Pharm D Dr. Lutfur Rahman. The event was also graced by noted journalist Mr. Mamta Ahmad, correspondent associated with Asom Live, Assam Times, and several reputed newspapers and media houses of Assam.

The primary objective of the camp was to bring quality healthcare services closer to the common people. Though Medanta Medicity is recognized nationally as one of the leading hospitals of the country, advanced healthcare often remains beyond the reach of economically weaker sections. Keeping this concern in mind, the initiative aimed to ensure that people from all sections of society receive access to expert healthcare consultation and diagnostic facilities.

It is noteworthy that under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and as part of the “Advantage Assam” initiative, Medanta is expected to establish its hospital in Guwahati in the near future. The broader vision behind such initiatives is to extend quality healthcare services to every segment of society, irrespective of economic background, across villages, towns, and remote areas.

This vision strongly aligns with the mission of Anajori Development Society, which since its inception has been continuously working for the welfare of underserved communities through various healthcare and social development initiatives.

It was also informed that Janaswasthya Diagnostic Centre is offering essential blood tests at minimal cost for the benefit of the common people, so that economically weaker sections can also avail quality diagnostic services easily. The Director of Janaswasthya Diagnostic Centre, Mr. Dilip Ranjan Dutta, MSc MLT, was also present at the program and highlighted the importance of making quality diagnostic facilities accessible to the general public.

At the end of the program, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the medical team, volunteers, media representatives, and the people of Nalbari for making the health camp a grand success.
