Emergency Care & Life-Saving Skills Training

In remote and disaster-prone areas like Kapkote, timely awareness and life-saving skills can make a vital difference during emergencies.

With support from WHOCCET, Aarohi’s Health Team received training in emergency care and life-saving techniques. This training has now started in Kapkote, where every month, our team is visiting schools and communities to provide training on different life-saving skills.

Through these sessions, students and community members are learning how to respond to emergencies and provide timely support. This initiative aims to strengthen community awareness and preparedness and help save lives when it matters most.

💧 Learning WASH Through Practice!

A  practical WASH session with school girls at GIC Jungliyagaon, Bhimtal Block, focusing on proper handwashing steps, personal hygiene, sanitation, and healthy everyday habits.

Because awareness becomes more meaningful when we learn, practice, and make it a part of everyday life. 💙

Aarohi at the 32nd Annual Celebration of the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment

At the 32nd Annual Celebration of the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE), Kosi-Katarmal, Aarohi showcased its range of natural wellness and agro-based products, receiving appreciation from Ms. Nameeta Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The stall was also visited by the Director, NIHE; the Vice Chancellor, Kumaun University; and other distinguished guests.

Dr. Pankaj Tewari, Executive Director of Aarohi, represented the organisation and actively participated in the seminar and discussions on the role of NGOs in Uttarakhand’s development. Aarohi shared its experiences and perspectives on rural development, local employment, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and opportunities for future collaboration.

During the discussion, Aarohi highlighted the importance of systematic documentation of the social, environmental, and economic impact of NGOs working across Uttarakhand, particularly their contributions to mountain communities. Such evidence-based studies can support policy advocacy, strengthen development programmes, and create opportunities for collaboration among research institutions, government, and NGOs.

The EMT Training Program 2026 interview was conducted on 8 September 2026 at Aarohi School, Satoli, Peora.

A total of 30 candidates participated in the interview process, with the EMT team present throughout the selection process.

A meaningful step towards empowering young people with skills and opportunities in Emergency Medical Services.

🌸 Creating safe spaces where girls can learn, ask questions and speak with confidence.

Through Aarohi’s Adolescent Health Initiative, a Menstrual Health & Hygiene Awareness Session was held at GIC Dhanachuli, Dhari Block, reaching 135 adolescent girls.

The session focused on menstrual hygiene, health awareness, addressing myths and misconceptions, and encouraging open conversations around adolescent health.

When girls are informed, they grow with confidence.
Awareness today creates a healthier tomorrow. ✨
