COVID has forced the entire education system into an online mode.
The curriculum is imparted virtually and its assessment carried out virtually.
Current online assessment process has its own limitations. We must provide options for students to know their strengths and area of improvements to work on and improve.
As parents are taking a leading role in children’s learning during lockdown, assessments too could not be conducted without parents' involvement.
This year we brought a major change in our assessment process.
Teachers hosted several small parent group interactions to involve parents in assessment.
Idea here was to help them understand the child’s growth in various areas of development and remedies they can apply at home to help child grow better.
This has empowered parents in assisting with child’s learning. It also helped them better support student in motivation and learning.
