🌸Breaking the Silence, Building Awareness🌸
On the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, NGO Aroha, with the support of HCL Foundation, conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programme for the women beneficiaries of the Ganjipeth Training Center on 30 May 2026.
The session highlighted key aspects of menstrual health and hygiene, including proper menstrual care and safe sanitary napkin disposal. Women were also introduced to menstrual cups and tampons, expanding their awareness of available hygiene options.
Interactive discussions encouraged participants to share their concerns and seek guidance. Pre- and post-session assessments reflected increased awareness and confidence in managing menstrual hygiene safely and effectively.

🌱 Little Hands, Growing Green Dreams 🌱

On 26 May 2026, a fun and educational Seed Ball Making Activity was organized during the Summer Camp for children of HCLTech employees at the HCLTech MIHAN Campus. The activity was organized by HCL Foundation and conducted by NGO Aroha.

Children learned about the importance of seed balls in environmental conservation and actively participated in making seed balls using soil, compost, and different seeds after a live demonstration.

The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from children, while parents and HCLTech volunteers actively supported the session, creating an engaging and inspiring experience for everyon

🎨Block Printing Workshop by NGO Aroha

On 25 May 2026, a fun-filled Block Printing Workshop was organized during the Summer Camp for children of HCLTech employees at the HCLTech MIHAN Campus. The workshop was organized by HCL Foundation and conducted by NGO Aroha.
Children learned about the history of block printing, different types of blocks, and color preparation techniques. After a live demonstration, they enthusiastically created beautiful prints on handkerchiefs, T-shirts, and scarves using various block designs.
Parents and HCLTech volunteers also actively participated and enjoyed the creative experience along with the children. Young artists enthusiastically immersed themselves in the colorful world of block printing, showcasing their creativity and imagination throughout the workshop.

“Community Mobilization Meetings for Women Training Program”

On 19th and 20th May 2026, meetings of NMC SHG members were conducted at Juni Mangalwari and Carnal Bag, Model Mill, to spread awareness about the Ganjipeth Women Training Center and identify needy women for training opportunities by NGO Aroha in collaboration with HCLF.
Women from various Self-Help Groups participated in the meetings, out of which needy women were identified for the training program. Further follow-up will be carried out with them to support their enrollment and participation.
The meetings were organized by Mrs. Bhavna Yadav and Mrs. Chitra Lokhande, Community Organizers of the Gandhibag Zone. The sessions were conducted by Mrs. Nasrin Ansari from NGO Aroha.
These meetings are an important step towards empowering women through skill development, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

10 मे 2026 रोजी येणाऱ्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय मातृदिनाच्या आपणा सर्वांना हार्दिक शुभेच्छा.💐🤝
अन्न, वस्त्र, निवारा या माणसाच्या मूलभूत गरजा. मग ते अमेरिका असो किंवा आदिवासी दुर्गम भाग. जन्मल्यावर बाळाच्या व आईच्या प्राथमिक गरजेमध्ये वस्त्र येतंच. आम्हाला सांगताना आनंद होतो की ही दुर्गम आदिवासी दारिद्र्यरेषेखालील नवजात बालक व मातांची गरज आरोह मल्टीपर्पज सोसायटी (NGO) तर्फे आम्ही भागवू शकतो. अर्थात हे सर्व तुमच्या सर्वांच्या सहकार्यामुळेच शक्य झाले आहे.🙏
समृद्ध माता, समृद्ध कुटुंब व काही सामाजिक संस्था ज्या देणग्या देतात त्यातून आम्ही बाळंतविडा तयार करतो.आतापर्यंत 6700 (सहा हजार सातशे) बाळांतविडे देऊन गरजू माता व बालकांना सुरक्षित केले आहे. आपल्या सर्वांच्या माध्यमातून नवीन वस्त्र मिळाल्याचा आनंद त्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर आम्ही पाहू शकतो. आई व बाळाला सहा महिने पुरतील एवढे व याशिवाय या वस्त्रांमुळे बाळाचे थंडीपासून संरक्षण होते व संसर्गापासून बचाव पण होतो. यासाठी संपूर्ण आरोह परिवाराकडून आपले मनःपूर्वक आभार.🙏
यावर्षी तुम्ही तुमच्या न पाहिलेल्या नातवंडाच्या वस्त्रासाठी देणगी स्वरूपात प्रेम व पाठिंबा देऊन बाळंतविडा प्रकल्पाला मदत कराल अशी आशा आहे.🙏

Recently, NGO Aroha conducted Selection Drive at the Pardi Centre for the Sewing Training and Employment Generation Program in collaboration with NMC.
The screening process was led by Ms. Sharmistha Gandhi, CEO, NGO Aroha, and Ms. Milka Dhore, Treasurer, NGO Aroha. Women from Bhavaninagar, Wathoda, and Navinnagar showed great enthusiasm to join the stitching cluster.
A total of 20 women participated, and 10 were shortlisted for the training program. The selected candidates are part of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and are ready to contribute towards long-term cluster-based livelihoods.
The event also celebrated success, as women were felicitated for their outstanding performance in the cluster during FY 2025–26.

!!Strengthening Teamwork at Aroha Hirkani Mahila Cluster!!

The monthly meeting of the Aroha Hirkani Mahila Cluster was successfully conducted on 30th April 2026 at the Mahal Training Centre, with the active participation of 15 members .
During the meeting, an important decision was taken to work collectively on the ongoing orders of school uniforms and nurse uniforms. The members emphasized teamwork, timely completion, and maintaining quality in every piece they create.

!!Sewing training and self-employment generation programme!!

NGO Aroha along with NMC is starting a new batch of trainees under the Sewing Training and Employment Generation Program at Pardi from May, 2026

An orientation meeting was conducted where women from Pardi, Bhavani Nagar, Dipti Signal, and Wathoda showed great interest in joining the training and enhancing their skills for better livelihood opportunities.

30 women will be selected through a final interview scheduled in the 1st week of May 2026.

On 28th April 2026, interviews were successfully conducted at the Ganjipeth Training Centre for the first batch of Skills training in school Uniform Making by NGO Aroha in collaboration with HCL Foundation and the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.

This initiative is a step towards creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and empowering women with practical skills.
