World Hemophilia Day 2026 Celebration

We are delighted to share glimpses from our successful program held on 26th April, filled with learning, inspiration, and joyful moments.

The program began with a formal inauguration by our esteemed dignitaries, with the special presence of Dr. Vinky Rughwani, President of Sickle Cell & Thalassemia Society.

We were honored to have Dr. Swati Sarda, a renowned motivational speaker and practicing Gynaecologist, who conducted a truly insightful and impactful session, guiding parents on how to handle hemophilia in daily life with confidence and strength.

The program was thoughtfully organized by Dr. Anju Kadu, Secretary HSNC, and smoothly anchored by Dr. Meena Deshmukh, who handled the session with grace and clarity.

• Energetic and entertaining musical performance by Band 🎶
• A warm and interactive environment for all participants

Executive Committee members of HSNC also graced the event, along with PWHs and their family members, making it a truly inclusive and memorable gathering.

The program concluded on a cheerful note with lunch and meaningful interactions, strengthening the bond within our community.

Let’s come together to spread awareness, support one another, and ensure that no one is left undiagnosed or untreated.

World Hemophilia Day 2025 Celebration 🩸

On 25th April 2025, HSNC successfully celebrated World Hemophilia Day at Inspire Hall, NKPSIMS & Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur, with the heartfelt participation of the hemophilia community, doctors, and healthcare supporters.

The program commenced with an inspiring message from Dr. Ayushree Deshmukh, President of HSNC, who motivated all members of the community to face challenges with courage, seek early treatment, and stay connected for stronger support.

During the event, several esteemed speakers shared valuable insights:

Dr. Kajal Mitra highlighted the importance of accepting hemophilia as a part of life and stressed the need for timely and consistent treatment.

Dr. Nitin Devsthade emphasized the critical need to spread awareness about hemophilia to ensure early diagnosis and intervention.

Dr. Sajal Mitra, Dean, reassured that Lata Mangeshkar Hospital remains committed to providing continuous support to persons with hemophilia (PWH).

Dr. Lina Deshmukh educated the audience on the nature of hemophilia, stressed the importance of prophylactic treatment, and encouraged patients to benefit from the government’s ESIC scheme, providing essential healthcare support.

Dr. Rahul Dua shared his expertise on managing injuries in hemophilia, focusing not only on physical healing but also on addressing the psychological impact of trauma.

Dr. Shilpa Chaurasiya, Head of the Physiotherapy Department, spoke about the importance of physiotherapy in PWH’s lives and demonstrated effective daily exercises to maintain joint health.

Dr. Anju Mehrotra Kadu, Secretary of HSNC, presented the Society’s ongoing work and delivered a talk on this year's theme:
"Access for All: Women and Girls Bleed Too."
She also discussed the challenges faced by women bleeders, particularly complications during pregnancy, and highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, proper monitoring, and multidisciplinary care to ensure safer outcomes.

Additionally, special guests Dr. Girish Nanoti and Dr. Kiran Gayakwad graced the event with their presence and support.
