We, the students of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Vets Association 🩺 from Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, celebrated Vidhyarthi Diwas 🎉 today at 5 PM in the Hi-Tech Classroom 💻.

On this special occasion, we organized a Debate Competition 🗣️ on the topic “New Educational Policy in India – Merits and Demerits.” 🎓📚

The event was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. J. P. Korde Sir 👨‍🏫, Associate Dean, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur.

We were honoured to have Dr. N. C. Nandeshwar Sir, COE, MAFSU, and Dr. J. M. Chahande Sir, HOD, LPM, NVC, as the Judges for the Debate Competition. ⚖️✨. Winners:- First prize - RAJSI REKHATE

On the occasion of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din 2025, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Free Animal Guidance & Awareness Camp at Deekshabhoomi was successfully conducted. 🌸

The program was graced and inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Dr. Niteen V. Patil Sir, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MAFSU, Nagpur, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries:

Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Camp Conducted under Phule-Ambedkar Jayanti Mohotsav 2025

In celebration of Phule-Ambedkar Jayanti Mohotsav 2025, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Vets Association proudly organized a Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Camp across four key locations in Nagpur:

1. Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur

2. Veterinary Clinical Complex, Nagpur

3. Indora Square, Nagpur

4. Wanadongari, Nagpur

This noble initiative was aimed at promoting animal welfare and public health by preventing the spread of Rabies, a deadly yet 100% preventable disease. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from pet owners and animal lovers across the city.

More than 150 dogs were vaccinated across all four centers, marking a significant step in creating a rabies-free environment in the region. The campaign emphasized the importance of timely vaccination and responsible pet ownership.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Vets Association extends heartfelt thanks to all volunteers, veterinary professionals, and citizens who supported and participated in this community-driven event. Together, we strive towards a healthier, safer society for both humans and animals.

Blood Donation Drive on the Occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti
Under Phule-Ambedkar Jayanti Mohotsav 2025

On the auspicious occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, under the banner of Phule-Ambedkar Jayanti Mohotsav 2025, a Blood Donation Drive was successfully organized by the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Vets Association.

The event commenced with a short formal program graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Dr. A. P. Somkuwar, Chairman, Associate Dean, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, along with Dr. Raghuvanshi, Dr. Bhojne, Dr. Jadhav, Dr. Badhe, Dr. Chahande, and Dr. Bawaskar, addressed the gathering and paid tribute to the legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule, whose vision continues to inspire service to humanity.

Following the program, the Blood Donation Drive began with enthusiastic participation from members and volunteers, reflecting the spirit of compassion, equality, and social responsibility that Babasaheb stood for.

The Association extends heartfelt thanks to all donors and contributors for making the event a success and honoring the ideals of two great social reformers through this noble cause.

Spreading Awareness Through Street Play at Lonkhairi

We are delighted to share the success of a meaningful awareness event held recently at Lonkhairi, Tk Kamptee, Dist Nagpur. A street play was conducted to address pressing social issues like fake news, fraudulent phone calls, and harmful superstitions—topics that continue to affect rural and urban communities alike.

The street play, performed with great enthusiasm and energy, received a tremendous response from the villagers, who not only appreciated the message but actively engaged in discussions afterward. It was heartening to see the curiosity and awareness it sparked, especially among the youth and elderly alike.

As part of our initiative to promote women’s health and hygiene, we also facilitated the free distribution of sanitary pads to the women of the village. This small step aimed at empowering women with both knowledge and access to basic hygiene products was welcomed with gratitude and warmth.

We are especially grateful to Dr. Nilesh Rathod, Livestock Development Officer, Lonkhairi, whose valuable guidance and support made this initiative possible. His encouragement and efforts were instrumental in organizing and executing the event smoothly and effectively.

Through such community outreach programs, we continue our mission to educate, empower, and uplift rural communities, one step at a time.
