75 kids from Government schools in Kanniyakumari district were taken to wetlands and dams in Kanniyakumari district.They were educated about the importance of wetlands for humans and wildlife. A pure wetland ecosystem is nowhere to be found in our areas, it is high time we remove the invasive plants and pollution in the waterbodies.

As a preparation for the annual synchronised bird census 2024 , a practice birding session for college students was conducted alongside the forest department. Zoology students who will be volunteers for the survey were taught basics of birding and also the importance of bird monitoring.
