✊ **Dimasa Students’ Union (DSU) – Nagaon Branch** united in a strong voice at **Nagaon Tribal Rest House on 3rd December**, standing firm against the newly proposed inclusion of 6 communities into the ST category.
We **do not accept** this proposal — we **oppose** it with full strength and demand the Government to **reject or withdraw** this implementation immediately.

Our identity is our pride. Our unity is our strength.
We stand to **protect our rightful ST status** and safeguard the future of Indigenous communities.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Dimon Bathari, Vice President of Dimasa Students' Union, Mahur Branch.
His untimely passing is a great loss of the Union and to everyone who knew him.
Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

✨ Dimasa Students’ Freshers Meet-cum-Get Together 2025 ✨
Organized by Dimasa Students’ Union (DSU), Nagaon Branch Committee, the event was held on 27th October 2025 at Nagaon Cultural Hall.

The program was graced by Shri Amit Nunisa, Vice President of DSU Central Committee, and Shri Bipin Kemprai, Deputy Registrar, Department of Revenue, Nagaon, as Guests of Honour. Shri Deben Boro, President of All Tribal Sanga, Nagaon, attended as the Special Guest.

The gathering witnessed the enthusiastic participation of representatives from various tribal students’ unions across Nagaon and members of Dimasa Students’ Unions from different regions. The event fostered unity, cultural exchange, and encouragement among the youth for academic and social progress. 🌿✨

" Yesterday, at the Tribal Rest House in Nagaon, we lit candles 🕯 in loving memory of our beloved Zubeen Garg. A true legend whose voice touch millions of hearts , his absence has left an irreplaceable void in Assam and beyond. As the flames flickered, we prayed for his eternal peace and for his soul to find Rest in the heavenly abode . Zubeen da, you will live forever through your music and in our hearts 🕯🙏💔."

The 17th Dimasa Students' Freshers programme scheduled on 21/09/25 has been postponed due to the sad demise of a renowned artist Zubeen Garg.
As a mark of respect and mourning, the event will not be held on the scheduled date.The rescheduled date will be informed later.

And may his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire forever.

With Pride and Reverence, the DSU flag was hoisted this morning to mark our 70th Foundation Day of DSU by DSU Nagaon Branch Committee at Tribal Rest House Nagaon in presence of office bearers and some students habitat in this town.

**Today, 12/08/2025, an Introductory meeting was held between the Dimasa Students Union (DSU) Central Committee and Nagaon Branch at the Tribal Rest House, Nagaon.**

The session was attended by Shri Pramith Sengyung, General Secretary of DSU Central Committee, along with his fellow members, and was chaired by Shri Dimaraj Daulaguphu, President of DSU Nagaon Branch Committee.

**Agenda:**
1️⃣ Interaction between DSU Central Committee and DSU Nagaon Branch members.
2️⃣ Discussion on upcoming programs.
3️⃣ Open discussion with students.

**Key Issues Raised:**
🔹 Need for proper bus transportation from Dima Hasao to Nagaon.
🔹 Requirement of a separate DSU office.

Together, we remain committed to addressing these concerns for the betterment of our students and community.

🕯️ *Candlelight Vigil & Tribute for Rosmita Hojai* 🕯️
Today, the Dimasa Students' Union, Nagaon Branch Committee, held a solemn candlelight vigil in memory of **Rosmita Hojai**, who tragically lost her life in Delhi while appearing for her RRB exam. The **Tiwa Students' Community** also stood in solidarity, joining in prayer for the eternal peace of her soul.
Her dreams were cut short, but her spirit lives on in our hearts. 💔
