Did you know that Sagara and Durbala, Indulekha’s parents named her Indulekha because they compare her to a beautiful beam of moonlight? “Indu” means moon and “lekha” means beam. One time Radha and Krishna were playing a game of riddles, and Krishna asked Radharani, “Who has a warm reddish glow, is expert in various arts and inspires loving feelings when she appears?” Pausing for a moment, Srimati Radharani glanced at the faces of Her gopis and Her glance fell on Indulekha Sakhi. Radha pointed to her and said excitedly it is “My divine moonbeam, Indulekha”.
