It was inaguarated by Sri Sri Paramanandabharathi Swamy at Ramamandira, Saraswathipuram, Mysore under the first presidentship of Prof. N.Dakshinamurthy. Second president in succession was Dr.T.V.Venkatachala Sastry, Now the Present president is Prof.K.G.Sathyanarayana. The sabha intends to make possible the following intellectual and cultural activities in a many that it earns and preserve the res
pect of it esteemed patrons.
1. We have set up Matrimonial Centre at Mysore. This was done by sabha from past one decade.
2. We have good library reading room, with facilities to do reference work.
3. We have started monthly magazine “Mulakanadu Manevarthe” from November 2008. This is for circulating amongst with our members and donars. It contains articles on mulakanadu greats who had serviced the society in their own fileds. It comes under the caption as “Mutthu-Havala” & regarding Mulakanadu women, who had their own contribution to society of yester years under caption “Yashogathe”. Manavarthe Contains, all reports of Happy Functions, Obituary of family members. There will be a column list of Brides & bridegrooms to enable alliances. To create interest in Telugu language sayings of great poets like Vemana, Thyagaraja & Pothana in telugu and kannada versions are given. It also contains details of monthly programmes and other announcements of functions, Hostel activities etc.,
4. We are running Hostel at our premises from past
Three years. Nearly 10 students from all communities are availing hostel facility during current academic year. Boarding facility is also provided. A separate dining hall and kitchen are provided for hostel. Right know, We have Six rooms built by doners for this purposes.
5. We have organized cultural festivals like Thyagaraja Aradhana and Sir M.Vishveshwaraiah Day by arranging music concerts and memorial lecturers respectively. A Cultural centre on the Third floor built by the generous donation of Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamy has all the photos of erstwhile mulakanadu greats adoring the hall.
6. We have bring plenty of books on illustrious personalities of Mulakanadu Community.
7. We have conducted Datti Upanyasa on Telugu & Kannada languages by donations made by doners to commemorate mulkanadu greats like Panyam Ramashesha Shastry, Motaganahali Ramashesha Shastry & H.H.Maharaja Sri Jayachamaraja Wodeyer.
8. We have conducted Medical Camps at our place and also at some villages quite often.
9. We have conducting Upakarma function for both Yajur and Rig Vedas with homa under the guidance of Vedic Scholers every year.
10. We have conducting Dathri Havana Pooja every year in a very big scale attended by many.
11. We are running a Marriage Hall with all facilities at an fordable price & Mulakanadu members will get the facility with a rebate.
12. We are giving scholarships to students every year for all levels from SSLC to Postgraduates and even Engineering and Medical Courses. Added to this during Thayagaraja Aradana music competition at four levels are conducted and donations all ready given to give prizes at all levels.
