Lately, I've been learning and practicing various ways to optimize my health and well-being.
Even though I've been working out regularly and eating good food somehow there were days when my mental health would go for a toss.
Overthinking, self-doubt, lack of motivation to take action towards my future, fear of failure, and anxiety would take over.
With the help of my Guru and other mentors like Dr.Jack Kruz, and Dr. Sara Pugh, I came to know that all mental health illness gets created in our minds due to inflammation and chaos in our brains. This inflammation is caused due to poor diet.
When we think of diet, we only think of food.
That doesn't sound right at all. Because we take in so many things such as light, sound, and information from social media throughout the day and at night even when we are asleep.
If this is the case, why then our perspective towards diet is only about food?
It is time we understand deeply about various elements of our diet that we take in.
Such as Sunlight, cold exposure, keeping away from artificial light at night, getting in touch with nature, etc.
I've been experiencing robust mental health ever since I started seeing the Sunrise and Sunset, exposing myself to almost 3 hours of sunlight during the day; sleeping in complete darkness, and taking cold showers every day.
I could take action on various things I was earlier scared of. I could handle rejection and conflict without panicking.
So many Martial arts students of mine started this mental vitality practice and have been getting amazing results. For some sleep has improved, some have become courageous and quit energy-sucking jobs, some have overcome long-term pains in their body, and they all experience consistent motivation to take action for their future.
All because of simply being mindful of their diet that is inclusive of light, sound, information, water, and nature, not just their eating habits.
