Namo Buddhaya
Yesterday, we celebrated the birthday of Mother Monica Thaddey at Mahabodhi Mysuru with deep respect, gratitude, and joy. The day was filled with prayers, acts of dana, and moments of togetherness, all offered with loving hearts in her honour.
Morning, we began her birthday by dedicating special prayers for her good health and for quick attainment of Enlightenment. As an expression of our love and gratitude, Dana service was offered at Nirashrithara Parihara Kendra, Mysuru, where more than 450 street friends were served with care and dignity. SanghadΔna was also offered to the Venerable Monks, seeking blessings for her long life and noble spiritual journey.
In the evening, we gathered for a special prayer under the sacred Bodhi Tree, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere in your honour. On this auspicious occasion, we also released the new Mahabodhi School, Mysuru Calendar. The Best Dormitory Award was proudly presented to Upekkha Dormitory, encouraging the values of discipline, harmony, and care that she has always inspired us.
The day concluded with a simple and joyful birthday celebration, including cake cutting and a special dinner shared with our children and staff, making everyone feel part of one loving family.
On this occasion, the Mahabodhi Mettaloka Youth Centre also offered special prayers and performed birds release, symbolising compassion, freedom, and loving-kindness.
May the merits of all these wholesome deeds bring her good health, peace, and happiness, and may they support her on the path toward final liberation.
With deep love and gratitude,
Mahabodhi Mysuru Family
