✨ A Celebration of Craft, Collaboration, and Women Empowerment ✨
Sujanimahila Jeevan Foundation successfully organized a workshop focused on the exchange of diverse handicrafts from Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur on 25th March. The event also welcomed talented women artisans from Anadi Foundation, Darbhanga, creating a vibrant platform for learning and collaboration.
With the participation of more than 100 artisans, the workshop turned into a meaningful space for interaction, knowledge exchange, and skill sharing. Women artisans showcased their unique art forms, shared their experiences, and learned new techniques and insights from one another.
The program was further strengthened by the presence of the DDM and LDM of Darbhanga, whose valuable insights and encouragement added significance to the initiative and motivated the artisans. Additionally, students from NIFT were also present, bringing fresh perspectives and engaging actively with the artisans to understand traditional crafts and design practices.
The event was further graced by the presence of Padma Shri awardee Shrimati Nirmala Devi, who shared her rich experience in Sujani embroidery. In her address, she highlighted that Sujanimahila Jeevan Foundation has made a significant contribution towards promoting Sujani craft and strengthening women’s livelihoods and employment opportunities.
