MovingSchool koncentrerer sig i dag fortrinsvis om den nordindiske delstat Gujarat. Vi er i udkants Indien – i provinsen Kutch, hvor hovederhvervet er fiskeri i 8 mdr. af året, for en del af delstatens fattige. Her skabes samfund i interimistiske teltboliger og børnene er langt væk fra skolen i landsbyen. Devendra Kandolkar er ild

sælen, der står i spidsen for MovingSchool projektet i Gujarat. Han inspirerer og administrerer lærestaben, der i 2015/16 består af 9 lærere, der underviser 340 børn. Teltskoler og enkelte permanente bygninger danner rammerne for MovingSchool, der tilbyder et grundskoleforløb. MovingSchool støtter også et hostel for både piger og drenge, hvor de større børn kan bo i trygge omgivelser, få mad og lektiehjælp, i nærheden af en lokal skole, hvor de kan færdiggøre deres skolegang, og være klar til videre uddannelse. Først i 2014 åbnede afdelingen for piger med 5 tilmeldte - indtil da var familierne ikke indstillede på, at pigerne måtte bo uden for familien. I 2015 var der 10 tilmeldte piger – og 20 i drengenes afdeling, og det ser ud til at tilslutningen til hostel vokser.
