Out of 126 Unicorns in India only 16 have some kind of patents, 35% of the GDP of USA is driven by Inventive technologies while its negligible in case of developing nations. As the country scales its startup ecosystem and invests in deep-tech, the real competitive advantage will lie not just in creating ideas, but in owning, protecting, and commercializing them.
