Yash Charitable Trust YCT was established in 2014 with the mission to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities.

Over the last 3 years, we have strived to create inclusive community-based activities for our team of 8 members which will assist them in becoming more responsible, productive members of their community. We currently run a daily lunch delivery service (Monday to Saturday) in our area where our team is an integral part of the preparation and distribution of all the meals. We also have weekly cooking, computer, music and dance classes where our team interacts with non-disabled teachers and volunteers.

At Anandi Special School, our Senior Counsellor Neha Chaurasia led a session for parents on handling challenging behaviour in teens — a space to pause, ask questions, and learn tools that actually work at home. 💬

The conversation moved through what’s often behind a behaviour before it’s even seen, and practical ways to respond in the moment — staying consistent, staying calm, and reinforcing the positive. 😊

A big part of the session was about the parents themselves — because regulating your own response is often the first step to helping your teen regulate theirs. Parents left with grounding techniques and one strategy each to try at home. 🤝

It’s this kind of exchange — grounded, practical, and rooted in real experience — that we love bringing to schools and organisations working with neurodivergent individuals and their families. 💝
