“SARRP (SPREADING AWARENESS ON REPTILES AND REHABILITATION PROGRAMME)” is a registered NGO working in Mumbai, which has been rescuing reptiles and other wild animals. This organisation was registered in 2010 & manh of our members are working in this rescue operation for more than 2 decades and have rescued many species which are important for the ecological balance. We have members scattered in al
l over Mumbai, Thane, Palghar,Navi Mumbai. So, if there is any reptile, especially snake found in any of these areas, members of our NGO reaches there as soon as possible. We rescue the animal and observe its physical condition to see whether it is healthy or injured, in case of injury, immediately medication is provided to save its life. This rescue operations have increased the enthusiasm of people to such a level that many new members are showing interest to actually learn and spread in this field under the banner of “SARRP”. Members of this organisation has spread awareness in each of its rescue calls by giving information about the species found and its ecological importance to us.
“SARRP”, though found recently has involved many awareness activities to reach the common man and give some eye-openers in the society to save the species. We get calls from “BMC Disaster Control”, “Fire Brigade”, “Police Control (100)”, not only that we also get calls from “Just Dial”.
